Agreed. This is how Sideshow loses money to scalpers too. If they make a ton of ex pieces people will cancel and buy them on the bay later. Of course the Batman ES should be big, but not for the Ex. Maybe they learned a thing or two from Joker still being in stock. Joker is a GREAT piece BUT I never bought him b/c so many people have him and there are tons on ebay. Keep the Ex "Exclusive" like it's supposed to be.

Exclusive just means that they're the only ones to sell it. That you're the only ones to get it is an after thought.

Exclusives are still smaller in ES compared to regular in anything. The point is not only is SS the exclusive retailer it's the ES is limited which will make it more appealing to collectors and more valuable in the resale market! The more rare something is gives it more value. Here's to hoping the ES EX are set less than Jokers 1250!

1250 for the ex joker PF is a little high for my liking. I hope Batman EX is less and certainly I hope PI is less cause I bought her.
As far as the justification I meant in price. Joker is $350. Ivy is $350. So why is the Bat $400? It doesn't look like a $400 statue to me. SS is robbing us blind people. They think it's no problem since they offer flex pay but those payments will add up quickly figure after figure. So stop hiking the prices!

I know you get a sculpted cape but come on 400.00? Don't forget shipping. looks just like the rest of the statues at 350.00. So I wonder is every statue with a cape now is 400.00?

Do you think we are likely to see a Nolanverse Batman premium format?

I'd love Batman in PF but I really don't like this version much. I know it's hard to do a comic version as there are so many great comic versions. But this one just doesn't do it for me.

Probably not. As has been pointed out, manufacturing cost is not the reason for the price; it's the fact that it's Batman. Why would they throw away money?

It's steep I know & I just did a VERY quick calculation but to me in the UK this is looking like it's going to cost me about £360 delivered including VAT & charges

Pretty freaking steep to be fair but I know if I don't do it I'll kick myself forever & Bats is a MUST

That said he's not due until at least March so that's at least 8 months save £40 a month & he's paid for.
Just cut back a bit on my other habits & I'll be good to go
Although with Ivy due a month earlier I can see it becoming a struggle further down the line but I'm ok at the mo

My only concern is that in a year or so SSC will probably announce another 1/4 Batman that may look better than this.

I didn't take any chances though but I must say I was expecting a lot more from this PF. Joker looks much better imo

I don't buy it cause I like it. I buy it because it's an easy sell. And I know it appreciates in value. No brainer. Just business.

1250 pieces means pieces for all who want ex version

250 pieces is a REAL ex version

All who want a ex piece and have money can get a ex versión...except for c3po and r2d2 pf
