I know I'll never get it, but my wish list for this lic is....a Batgirl vanity dio on turn table. & a Batgirl motorcycle.

Batman is always gonna be some wacky guy dressed up like a Bat. He's inherently ridiculous. Saying one Batman is more ridiculous than another isn't saying much.

:exactly:

What he said. I'm more excited about this than The Dark Knight Rises.

Yeah, you just know they track custom figs prices on ebay so they know west and ward figs are in demand as well as flip prices which accounts for so many of their re-releases. I mean they're already doing a tumbler reissue . But they also are probably itching to do a 1/6 batmobile as it is one of the most famous cars in the world.

Also, they have a relationship with dc and wb through their fig licenses and i doubt they want to piss them off by saying no to this license if wb wishes them to do this line.

Especially after the Reeve Figure. I think WB was very happy with that as well as the keaton and nicholson figures.

12K hits in little over a week. For a general announcement? Yes, it could be bigger than this...

Good post! I agree.

While it would be great for Hot Toys to get this license I'm not sure how much attention they'd give to it. You need a company that's going to commit to a decent character lineup, at least Batman, Robin, Joker and Catwoman, but then you'd also want to see Batgirl, Riddler and Penguin, plus a Batmobile. For most companies that would be an entire product line for a year.
Maybe Hot Toys should start a partnering program with some up and coming companies to handle high opportunity or unique licenses like Batman, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Green Hornet, cult movies, etc.
Hot Toys could charge a percentage, supply the bodies and perhaps get favorable access and rates on apparel manufacturing and open up distribution channels. The partner companies could do the headsculpts, costume design and marketing. That could be a win-win all around.

Weren't we supposed to get more information at that licensing show last week? What happened?

Would love to hear more but I'm guessing it'll take a quarter or two to figure out who's picking up what. Matty will prolly be first out of the gate with figures along with novelty branding players.
