The announcement has nothing to do with DVD releases. That's an entirely different license issue. There are estate rights issues regarding all the celeb cameos (window appearances during bat rope building climbs) along with other issues clogging this up, but I believe it will be sorted out with Fox/Greenway b/c the DVD/Blu Ray release is needed as a driver for merchandise sales and would go well with this stuff.

Stay tuned, same bat channel, for more news on this. :D

i dont care about the collectibles so much as finally being able to own this tv series on DVD finally! i have been holding off getting the bootlegs in hopes the show will be released officially. so this is great news to those hopeing for a video release.

DVDs are an entirely different type of licensing.

THE WONDER WOMAN WHO WASN'T

Julie would have kicked all kinds of ass back in the day. Pic is from McKenna's Gold which I believe will now have a slight upturn in sales this week. :google :lol

I don't have PayPal, so you're going to have to send a money order.

Unfortunately, the only version available is full screen pan & scan.

No, I didn't check. A little bird told me. :monkey3

I would buy any friggin thing HTs made from this tv series!!! Any character or any vehicle.

I grew up and into Batman on this series and this would be the jewel of my collection!

Yeah this licensing will grow much more imortant if THE SOURCE MATERIAL- the show itself- were available to the masses through home dvd/BD release.............COME ON WB!!!

As did I, but with so many different Batman characters already out or coming from HT, and the fact that these would clash with the rest of my movie collection, Id pass on any and all 60's Batman figures.

Doesnt mean I wouldnt still want to see these in 1:6 scale as I think they would ROCK. But it would pain me to pass on these though.

She'd come with some great accessories too. :lecture

Honestly - if HT get the 1/6 license for the show - & they don't go with Julie as THE Catwoman..

I don't know if I'll be able to contain my nerd rage. :lol

I'm already thinking about my focus display for what could be in store.. :lol

I have the 1:18 HW car - plus the smaller ones, but I'd love to have Julie, West & the big Batmobile on one shelf together - maybe with a copy of the TV series displayed behind them.

Nice & simple, but very cool. :)

It would be truly awesome. :)

Now that I think about it, the only thing I can't live without since it became a possibility is a 1:6 Batmobile. Even if there were no figures, I'd lose my mind to own that.

A 60s TV Batmobile would be the biggest 1/6 vehicle seller ever for HT and they know it. It's the biggest dream collectible never to happen before for a giant baby boom gen of collectors as well as many others.

Hi Howard. :wave

Oh, Howard, please make the beacon light up too. Thanks. :D

Julie Newmar and Raquel Welch. They don't make 'em like that anymore. While Raquel was gorgeous, at almost 6' Julie must have been something to see back int he day. She would have made a great Wonder Woman.
