I was the same way, didn't really care for the suit at first, now I can't wait for the HT treatment. Will buy it for sure.

As for the Lizard, nothing will ever be as awful as the design of the Green Goblin in the first movie. That still creases me whenever I see it.

HT did a great job on the Spiderman 3 figure and I'm confident they will do a great job with the Amazing Spiderman figure.

Even more so knowing that originally they were going comic accurate there was even an animatronic face mask made for moving the eybrows and it had the skin texture the hat from the comics and big eyes all of it

The thing is if HT made that movie Goblin I think it will be incredible and much more amazing as a 1/6 figure than a real man in a real suit....

I actualy REALLY want them to make a goblin from the first film.

And it had BETTER come with a william Defoe head.

So I can put it on an Iron man figure.


anyone else think It's odd that they ( sony) have spiderman fighting a goomba in this movie?

if they made him look like a dinosaur or aligator there'd be equal disappointment from fans, Lizard is a character that could never be done to please everyone

I doubt it. Avengers is just the hot ticket right now, so they're just capitalizing off that. I'm sure we'll be hearing/seeing something from this soon. Movie-verse accurate of not, this Spidey will be the one I pose with my Avengers team display since I think this new suit fits in more nicely than his classic design.

I don't think this one will get lost in the shuffle... seems like HT may be capitalizing on releases this year. We might get all TDKR, Promoetheus and Spidey announcements/reveals before the films come out.

I was wondering similar myself the other day after all look how long it's taken to get figures from Spiderman 3, now I'm not sure when Hot Toys actually got the license for that film (someone may very well pop up and say they only got it last year) but given that they've only just brought figures out from that license I suspect another Spiderman from this film won't be high on their priority list not when they have The Avengers, TDKR & Batman Returns all to address this year (and of course the ones you're always banging on about )

I think we'll probably see a product reveal around July 4th or maybe shortly before that. Spiderman has been a better property for Marvel than the Avengers. I do see one problem with 'The Amazing Spiderman' line though, they would need to fabricate the Lizard from scratch. So we may not see him for a long time.

As long as we get an Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, I'll be happy

Me too. It retains just enough of the original look to 'be' SPIDER-MAN but is different enough to separate it form the lardy-chunk that was Maguire in his suit.

I have been well served by HT this year, my three top heroes...the Spider, the Bat and the Last Son.

Spider-Man will come but they isn't as much of a push as The Avengers. What people have to remember is that HT is banking on people wanting to complete the team with offerings like Hawkeye or Nick Fury and if they are spaced out too far then other things, bigger tickets like Spidey or Batman or who knows what else suddenly takes slots. Spider-Man will sell regardless of when whereas someone like Black Widow in her Avengers uni has a limited shelf life.
