just got destroyer in , very impressive statue , i actually like the light up feature nice glowing effect, it came in perfect condition , no broken spikes , i do quite like the paint job, but still looking into chroming it,

Yep. I'm going to wait and see in hand photos of him before I decide to get him or not. He looks great from the proto photos though

Thinking about picking up Thor since his costume looks to be the same in the new Avengers movie and I doubt Sideshow will produce a new version.

Just got Destroyer, here is the verdict.

Overall a good sculpt, good size & weight, but hands are slightly too small, or feet are slightly too big, take your pick.
The paint apps are not as bad as initially reported by some, from SD Comic Con, though would have been better with smokey metallic finish as initial SS pics.
The base is uninspired, as well as the paint apps applied to it. The light-up feature is OK, but so weak in it's effect, that it simply equates to another major blown opportunity by SS.
I feel that the biggest drawback, contributing to that slightly "plastic" look/finish, is not the paint, but rather the shallowness of the grooves between all the armor plating. If grooves would have been slightly deeper, it would have given sculpt more depth, & a slightly sharper finish.

As for price(?), SS have lost their minds! Though I picked it up for a descent price, I would advise all those interested to wait it out, & pick it up in the $325 to $375 range. And yes, this will happen. Good luck.

I was thinking either this or the Angel comiquette... but the Angel comiquette is huge and I really have no vested interested in the character... but it's just so beautiful and impressive.

I really love the look of the Thor PF though, especially with the Helmet.

use it on something cheaper, you dont get sideshow points when using the code so it doesnt really save much.

besides no hurry, thor ex is just a crappy picture, so there is little difference between ex vs reg. wait for inhand reviews in case this becomes another sideshow disaster.

Personally i am waiting until they release pf ironman + hulk to try for the avengers team. I ordered the black widow though because the ex is too good to pass up, dont want to sellout.

if all you cared about is wing-span and impressive looking, then forget the angel and order this guy, cant get anymore impressive than that and it's very well made by the look of it.
