Re: HT 1/6 Amazing Spiderman line

I for one like the new costume, the fact that he uses web shooters instead of mutant web spinners, and the dark tone the new trailer has. The Lizard looks a bit goofy, but I'm sure he will grow on me. The Green Goblin looked goofy the first time I saw the Raimi Spiderman, and now I love the character.

Re: HT 1/6 Amazing Spiderman line

raise 100 million dollars and make your own damn Spiderman movie. Then, let's see which one comes out on top.

Classic Uwe Boll excuse right there :clap

Tho all this "hating the haters" crap is hilarious :lol

Re: HT 1/6 Amazing Spiderman line

^ The latter batman films can't be 20 years ago, if they are i've suddenly become... Old :horror

Superman II (1980) 32 years old
Superman III (1983) 29 years old
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) 25 years old

1989 - Batman - 23 years old
1992 - Batman Returns - 20 Years old
1995 - Batman Forever - 17 Years old
1997 - Batman & Robin - 15 years old

Re: HT 1/6 Amazing Spiderman line

I had my Tobey Spidey for a few days then sold him. Not impressed...but I think this suit will translate better to the scale.

Would love for a 1/4 scale of this guy though....shame they're doing the avengers and bats in 1/4 but not spidey?

You sold your HT Spiderman 3 and weren't impressed? Wow. That's the first time I've heard that. Not trying to be rude but what would have impressed you?

I think this suit will look really good too in this scale.

A 1/4 figure of this Spidey would look fantastic.

I'm not sold on any 1/4 figures, i collect statues for 1/5 and bigger, but this would be amongst those that could change my mind

Re: HT 1/6 Amazing Spiderman line

A series of niggles...biceps..difficult wrist-pegs..but for me the biggest let down was the head. Odd-shape, no jaw, no nose-bump and the eyes weren't right.

I'm gonna track down the Sideshow polystone instead....

I'd love to see Hot Toys do a 1/4 scale Spider-Man 2 though..I'd be all over that!

I hear ya bro. I guess no figure is perfect. I just knew this would be the best one we would get for a long time so I had to have it. Also I'm sure it depends on your love for the character or movie or both. For me, I loved the movies so this figure, regardless of its flaws, was a no brainer.

I agree. There are some things I would liked to have seen improved upon, namely the too tall height and overall too buff body size, but I am willing to live with it until a better one comes out. It really is a great piece of work and I am "amazed" everytime I look at it.

As far as the head shape though, I think it's spot on. It has that "movie spidey" head. The nose bump is subtle but it is there. It's supposed to resemble what it looked like in the movie because he wore a face shield under the mask to keep it looking like that classic spidey shape. If you watch the behind the scenes disc, just on dvd not blu ray, on the first and second movie they go into making the costume, the webbing, and the face shield.

Sorry you didn't like it. Thanks for letting me know why you didn't. Sometimes when I hear that someone doesn't like one of my favorites, I like to know why so I can further scrutinize my purchase. That maybe there is something I missed that others may see.
