This was a nice surprised. Can't say its totally unexpected, but as far as variants go, the Ninjas have at least been creative ones. And yeah, that EX head rules

Is it bad that I'm considering this (and would make my 5th Ninja overall) and I haven't even preordered Hawk?

I'm such a sucker for bad ass weapons! Gen. Hawk is like a pose once and forget it item. These Ninjas are so damn versatile and fun.

Having seen the Temple in person, the asking price is reasonable. The temple is FREAKING HUGE! Way more polystone used in that than any PF I'm aware of. I was actually surprised just how big this thing is. I recommend it if you go the room, which I don't think I have anymore

Storm shadow was an original sculpt...black dragon isnt (except for the exl head). Im not paying $135 for an exlcusive head.

Actually that logic is flawed. You'd be paying $15 for an exclusive head because the basic figure totals at what you'd have bought with Storm Shadow. Even if you consider it a rehash, you have remove that cost.

Flawed? I already have most everything that comes with the Black Dragon 2 times over. I dont need the figure just because its a different color and has an additional head. Using your logic, Ill just pick up the BD exl head for $15 on eBay parted out.

Imo, If you were going to display a ninja with the gun, it would have to be the Ninja Viper.
