How dare you expect the HT Spiderman figure to actually pose like Spiderman can :lol

I love HT, this figure looks awesome.

But expect him to look awesome just standing there with your standard web shooting poses.

His outfit, while authentic in appearance, looks like it might be too restrictive for classic spidey poses.

It won't be, you just gotta have the balls to do it. The Medicom was restrictive as hell and that was taken to the brink and back. Just gotta ask yourself if you wanna chance it.

Haven't owned the new advanced TT figure can anyone tell me what makes it special :dunno

and how is it different from the TT used for the Joker from the TDK

Just finished up watching Spidey 3, now started on Spidey 2,

God I love HD Quality and a BLU RAY DISC RESOLUTION !!!
:clap:clap:clap

Absolutely! The DVDs have slowly gotten out of the picture (pun intended : ) now. There's nothing next to Blu-ray now! But its an expensive habit and comes with a price. They're no good without a good plasma and a home theatre system. Still saving to own one, one day :( But I watch HD on my lappie and sure will catch up with dear old Spidey over the weekend again!

Man, wish Raimi and Cast did just one more film, going to be a tough act to follow for Reboot!

We wish! So much used to seeing Tobey as Spider-Man it'll be difficult to adjust with Andrew Garfield immediately. Plus, I do not like the initial pics of the new suit..

Tobey Spidey suit for the win!

Great blend of movie and comic book look. Just like the 89 Batman suit it's by far my favorite comic throw back look to date.

Still think the red sections looks like they were made from a basketball.

OMG - are you on Hot Toys' payroll? If not you ought to be :) I think your pictures single-handedly convince more ppl to buy the figures than anyone else - perhaps even more than HT pics themselves. Great work - And I thank you for taking the time out to take these pictures.

Reboot or not, they should have got Raimi to direct Reboot even without the original cast! Big Mistake Hollywood , one that could destroy the franchise like Joel schumaucher did with Batman! :banghead

I think that this HT spidey could achieve the same poses as the medicom's spideys.. but at the same time I "feel" that this HT spidey is more delicate..

If HTchose a TT as body ( and 95% of HT figures has a TT inside) It does'nt mean that you can playing arround with him like a toy..It's still a collectible, and the webbing pattern looks fragile to me and could deteriorate over time...I guess :dunno

Edit Otherwise .. we have'nt seen the instruction sheet yet, and dunno if could say something about the webbing or possible poseeability (restrictions) cautions :/

You think that Hot Toy's is more delicate than Medicom?!? Wow, not a chance. Medicom figures are INSANELY fragile. You can look at one wrong at it will break a hip or shoulder. I have all the comic book related Medicom figures and I have to be VERY careful with them. The only Medicom figure I wish I had was their movie based Spiderman 2 figure (very rare and expensive), but this Hot Toys figure is close enough.

Medi has done it on pleather..... HT's spandex should be much easier...stitching from the inside is not that difficult, with HT's legendary tailors

Medicom did their Spiderman figures 3 different ways-
1. Comic Based characters-in spandex. They did Spiderman, Symboite Spiderman, Venom, Venom as the Punisher, Wolverine, Magneto, Cyclops, Punisher, Carnage, and Blade's shirt (they made 2 different Blades) out of this stuff. I might have forgotten a few here, but I think that's it.

2. Spiderman 2- looks very similar to Hot Toys, but I don't own one so I can't comment.

3. Spiderman 3- Pleather costumes that I really don't like. I own them all, but these are among my least favorite Medicom figures (that I own).

You mean this one, you sure about that?

I don't own this one yet, so I can't be 100% sure. But Medicom figures are INSANELY light and fragile. Seriously they can break with just simple posing. Do you own any Medicom figures? The hips and shoulders are REALLY weak. From what I hear, the new bodies they recently released are much better in the area.

Yeah, the one I posted is the Spidey 2 medicom, its alright, I have Spidey 3 black and reg Spidey, those medicoms are okay, but the worse is the comic book "Mcfarlane style Spidey, which I own as well, bad hips broke within a month, believe or not if I had to chose which has the best out of the medicom versions was the oldest, spidey 2 version, the body used was pretty decent, don't know why medicom changed the body for spidey 3 but it got worse. Trust me Hot toys saved the franchise of the movie in 12" form. Invest in this TT masterpiece, if you can, you won't be sorry.
