Seems like they found another 100 Gimli in their inventory!

Jokes aside, if Gimli is indeed sold out and yet the system shows another 100 or more available and people keep placing pre-orders, does SSC then increase the ES to meet the "new" pre-orders?

haha, just trying to get this one to sale out, but I jest. Gimli's are multiplying like Mogwais after being fed after midnight.

to me it is quite surprising to see Gimli sell out before the Storm maquette announced a week prior and with a larger ES. Either way, I chalk that up as a good sign for both LOTR and the new statue line!!

Of course. Everything does thats why sell outs in 12 hours don't really happen anymore folks know they can wait a lot of the times on almost everything.

That used to be true, but the NRD has probably ended a lot of that. Sure, there will always be some, but not like it used to be. I knew some on here who used to pre-order almost everything, then turn around and cancel it later.

I kinda miss the days of waiting for the pre-sale to pop up so you can jump on something quick before it sells out in 3 minutes. Exciting....but disappointing when you don't get it. I think those days are long gone, except for during comic-con.

Yeah, the NRD will slow things down but its been like that for a while before the NRD. Some things like Commander Bly sold out quick but those will be fewer and far between. Right and thats honestly the best thing about the NRD policy is that it keeps folks from doing that and jacking up ES which in the end only hurts lines like this maquette line.

I miss it a bit but at the same time I don't. Comic-Con I think will see a change with the NRD policy.

You're right, Josh. More people have been holding back for the past year or two. At first, I think it came more in the form of cancelled pre-orders, but even then, there were fewer lightning fast sell-outs.

And the introduction of the NRD has DEFINITELY slowed things even further, at least for exclusive and big ticket items.
