I was watching that one out of curiosity too. Damn, $2310.00 is insane for a HT AVP figure, especially that overhyped one with its inaccurate, repainted Elder head. I wonder if the buyer will end up flaking on him.

Is the AniCom Scar actually rarer than the Asian Exclusive? The Asian is way more interesting of a figure.

it's definitely not a great figure by itself, but hardcore collectors don't think in terms of quality. all they care about is the ES number on the box, and there ain't very many of these things around. i believe there's a P.T. Barnum quote about fools and their money but it escapes me at the moment...

if your referring to the Asia Elder, yes, this one is the rarest of em all. I had em all. They were the first Pred pieces I ever had, got hella addicted, found this forum, and realized they were all crap compared to what i could get for my money, then quickly sold em all off .

Ani-Com isn't even worth it. Shouldn't be priced more than the regular Scar. Maybe like $50 more for the second head sculpt, but we all know it's a repainted Elder.

You see what happens, though? Some moron eBayer bids that high and suddenly sellers will think that's the minimum it should go for. We're the reason they're so damn expensive. I've accepted paying over $400 for my Celtic in April this year and don't regret a single penny (especially since that was less than the going rate at the time). But if you ever need to fork over $2000 for an Ani-Com, find whoever bought this one and beat the crap out of him.

like i said earlier, the quality of the figure isn't what drives the price. it's because it says "exclusive" on it and there's only 250 of them. the $2k price is just a reflection of the collector's ego... assuming it was a real bid, anyway.

i don't see how that makes you different from a moron ebayer. to me, $400 for the Celtic is just as retarded as $2k for the Anicom. i paid retail for mine. you reap what you sow, and now you AVP fans can barely afford the collectibles anymore.
