I want my PF. I got so excited when I saw C-3PO's name up there today, but it looks like it's still not time yet. I'm sure they will do another obscure EU character or sexed up female to keep the PF line going strong while I continue the long wait for my 1:4 scale droids.

Actually Brant Bridges said this in the live chat: "C-3PO will make an appearance this month, but not in PF. We're still making progress on the development of the PF, and lots and lots of engineering and logistical elements left to solve for both Goldenrod and his domestic partner. Epan, this also answers your question"...
So didn't confirm the sneak pic of yesterday was 3PO neither said that it was a Legendary Scale Bust, 1:1 Bust or 12" figure... I assumed it could be the 1:1 bust as the 12" figure has been announced by Medicom not so much time ago so a 12" Sideshow version of 3PO should happen later... and I was kinda sure it was the lifesize bust as The next legendary scale bust to come is Obi-Wan... and others presented last year in the Legendary scale busts future programs at San Diego Comic Con... and 3PO wasn't in that list...

It's hard to tell without bigger photos, but it looks kind of like they're just recycling the head and shoulders of their life size C-3PO.

EDIT: Yep, the product info mentions Fred Barton. Well, at least I don't have to worry about this bust being better than what I already have. But the fact that it's nearly 1/10th price of the full size figure is off-putting...

If it makes you feel any better I'd rather pay more and get the full size statue.

The GG one isn't great in terms of its finish, really. Shiny, but not much in the way of detail. And Sideshow has released a chromed 3PO -- the full sized one. So it's certainly doable.

Even when he was covered in dust, his metal still had a reflective sheen to it. It never looked satin.

If Sideshow does this piece right, it might be my first PF purchase.

I'm saving up my reward points for this, especially with the NRD policy it could be $500 or $600 thats a $50 or $60 deposit.
