yeah man, i had a 06 V6, but decided to get a Mach1 over the GT only cause i knew the GT would depreciate more than a Mach1, and it was still more expensive too, but if i ever get another muscle car, its got to have 500hp :google

but cars are depeciating assets! :monkey5

That depends entirely on the car... if my brother babys that Roush, it will actually go up in value as it's a collector car. Have you seen the prices of mint condition 70s american muscle cars? All original 1971 454 Chevelles in mint condition sell for over 100k and cost like $8000 originally lol!

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl Is this a SSF only thing, or are these images on other forums?

What's this thread about again?

Dan, I want to see more pics of your custom collection, where would I go for those?

Mine is from 4chan :)

I have some videos I made of my collection back in March if you would like to look at those:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxROHR30TV4

Also, pretty much every review on Predatorstuff.com is from my collection, so by looking at my reviews since March you can see most of the items I've received since. In fact the only thing I haven't reviewed yet (I think) are the Maul bust and X23.

Should also be seeing my full 1:4 scale Alien Queen maquette soon too mwahaha

what he said. a 67 ford mustang will go up in value. whereas a 93 toyota corolla won't.

Cutting down on the collectibles myself to get a car next year. Undecided between a mustang gt, camaro, or challenger.

Here are my thoughts.

Mustang GT: I love the 2007-09 body style, but I'm not quite as fond of the 2010. Still has a nice melding of retro and contempory styling, and its a great handling car. Compared to the Camaro SS and the Challenger SRT8 the GT is a little lacking in horsepower, but it makes up for it with a lighter curb weight and superior handling. I liken the 'stangs power plant to the small blocks of yesteryear...lower displacement, but higher winding. Overall great balance. Buy this car if you are a Mustang guy, you like your muscle cars a little understated, and if you are a tinkerer. There is no doubt this car will have the best aftermarket support of the 3. P.S., I recommend the Grabber Blue/Black paint combo.

Camaro SS: Who can argue with a exterior design based on one of the most recognizable muscle cars of all time? My first car was a '69 Camaro that my dad and I restored, so of course I'm a little partial to the new Camaro. However, I have seen many in person, and it just seems to be lacking something, so much so that I put off ordering one. I love the interior though, and who can argue with 425 hp? Since this is lighter than the Challenger, this pretty much owns most of the performance tests, and wrestles with the Mustang for superiority on the skidpad. Also, its very affordable compared to the SRT8. Buy this car if you want to blow the doors off of everything else, and want a nice mix of retro/modern styling. Just make sure you order a bright color...the great lines of this car get lost in the darker colors.

Challenger SRT8: No doubt this one screams retro, and it probably commands the most attention when all three are together. However, this car is built on the Charger/300C platform, and due to that it is much heavier and sits higher than the competition. Also, much of the interior resembles the Charger, which is a big letdown. This car pretty much requires that you get the SRT8 version, and last I checked it comes in at the most expensive, at a whopping 45K. Compare that to the 35K Camaro that has equal HP and superior handling, and its a hard pill to swallow. Buy this car if you are really going for that retro feel, and have a little extra cash burning a hole in your pocket. Looks great in black btw.

Honestly, I think I would recommend waiting a year or two on the Camaro/Challenger, I have a feeling that there are going to be some nice alterations made for the upcoming model years once they are able to refine the design. If you are looking at a Mustang, I would perhaps try to find a low mileage used Shelby...the price will be similar to a fully apointed SS/SRT8, and you will get the better styling of the 07-09 Stang, superior horsepower compared to the GT, and of course that Shelby nameplate. I'm indifferent on the various tuning companies...if you can find one that fits your style and isnt a fortune, go for it. Personally, I'd rather do the upgrades myself, and use that Shelby as a base car.

2010 Stang > 07-09 .. HANDS DOWN. 2010 is Sleeker &Sportier.

The face & the ass of the Camro kills me, just kills me...kinda like new Acura TL.

Agree to disagree on the '10 Mustang. I agree with you on the rear of the Camaro...sits too high and is too plasticy. The front isnt so bad...they were able to replicate the '69 nicely.

all I can say is ,I love my car.I like the mustang.it could be the slowest car out there, but I still love it.I fell in love with the body style in 05'
I would of loved to had the shelby, roush or any other supped up mustang, but theres no way I could afford that.I can barely afford what I got.and thats with $9000.00 off list.but like I said,I love my car.everyone has there own vision of what thier dream car is.and the car I got is close enough, now after some upgrades it will be the car of my dreams.
but to each his own.
and thanks guys.

well for not that much more money, you can get a 540hp shelby compared to like the 465hp challenger, not sure if those are the exact numbers. Honestly, I do love the retro look of the challenger more, but I think you get more for your money with a shelby or a ronaele mustang. I love the updated look of the interior of the shelby too. You can pull an older shelby off of carmax with 2k miles for only like 40k, thats a hella good price imo.

I can see why you like the 07-09 styling. I had an 05' convertible that I sold 2 years ago to save up enough money to get a house. (Now that I have a house....time for the muscle car again.) Honestly if I do go with the Mustang I'm not sure if I'll go with the 2010 or 09. Like them both style wise.
