Looks 100% so far (with not much further to go, I imagine). Its a shame you actually didn't make the door slightly raised so you could stick a couple stormies underneath trying to get a shot a Luke and Leia. :p

Darthgothikus-The door will be in foamboard tracks with the intent on being able to move it up and down. I made it an inch bigger than what shows through the entryway for that purpose. If I can execute it with the materials I'm using, that remains to be seen.

You didn't think he would overlook that did you Pix? This is so cool it gets a little Fonzie from me! <a href="https://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Forum%20stuff/?action=view&current=Fonzie.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i593.photobucket.com/albums/tt20/Darthgothikus/Forum%20stuff/Fonzie.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The door is definitely able to be posed in various degrees of open/close. For the short-term, I'll just end up propping it up from the backside if I want it open. I'm debating doing the backside of the door/hall since it will show when the door is open at least the lower portion for the illusion. For now, I don't have Stormtrooper feet, so I won't have to worry about it just yet. Leia's getting a dirty dress tonight:naughty

So I'm pretty much done. I'll probably tweak little things as I see fit, but this suckers going on the shelf! It's a little anti-climatic since the wip pics pretty much show it all. I guess I'll have a little fun with it then. Here's my teaser for soon to follow pics of the finished project

:lol

Again, thanks to everyone for the compliments. I'm very happy with it and the confidence I'm getting from peers enjoying it too makes me want to tackle another scene. Just need to figure out what...and get the figures!!

Darth. I have totally enjoyed following this thread.
Can't wait to see the final reveal, but, what do we do then? I need my regular creative fix!
You must start another project immeadiately. I think you should tackle a 1:6 Falcon.

Go on, put Dorgmals X-wing to shame, he'll love it and raise the bar again by starting a Star Destroyer. Wooo!

Three final pics of the display itself. Tomorrow it will come out of the shop and take it's place on the shelf.

A couple last minute things before the thread eventually gets pushed into obscurity with new posts of fantastic customs and hell, maybe even real Sideshow news. Luke got converted to a Tru-Type. Had to do it. And that is the Stormtrooper Luke head, a much better sculpt IMHO. I'll eventually need to get some better hands and maybe paint to match the skin tones. The leg strips were surprisingly easy to re-wrap. I will also be getting him a 100th Hasbro shirt as I think it looks a ton better.

I'd like to make a blown up panel to switch out if I chose, although for where I'm putting it and the people in this house, no one would be the wiser.

I'd like some Stormtroopers for either behind the door or as a companion piece across the way. Again, no rush. And since Halloween is coming up, I'll bust out with the smoke machine to enhance some photos.

Sorry about all the crappy pics (technically crappy). I've been admittedly eager to put up some new shots and don't know my own camera that well. Plus in the shop, it's just flourescent lighting, and I probably could've done better by moving it out in the first place. It's not perfect by any stretch, and fortunately most of my nitpicking will go unnoticed by most, but those with a sharp eye will see what I'm talking about.

Having said all that, I have been wanting to do this particular scene since Luke came out. These are currently the only 2 I own. I just wanted a cool display for them and that was it. But having success/luck/fun doing this, I think I'm stupid enough to try another. Just need to come up with a plan (and $$$. After all I M poor:lol). I'm inclined to keep with Ep. IV, but time will tell. Everyone keep up the good work and thanks for sharing this thread with me.
