Except for the OT only 1/6 collectors. They'd still be disappointed.

True...but I am personally hoping they get better quality control over the paint apps before the tackle some of the remaining characters in the OT.

I have a dream that one day, Sideshow 1/6th scale human figures will have paintjobs comparable to Hot Toys figures...sigh. I do dream big.

you guys needs to buy other stuff than 12''..lots of other SW great products by Sideshow this year.

I agree, Sideshow really does need to do something to fix their paint apps.

This is the classic debate, I guess we should start a thread for all the cheerleaders.
Yay you dont like something your a whiner, god forbid you actually have a negative opinion about something. I only collect 1:6 line, so I dont give a ^^^^ what else they released. How would collectors of other lines, PF, Diorama etc feel, if 1:6 collectors got all the cool stuff and you got the EU and CW rags??? Im not asking for Chewie, Boba and Greedo all at once, but one classic figure would have been nice, and as a paying devoted customer I have the right to say I think this year was a disappointment.

Yeah, well Sideshow is trying to please everyone and ends up pleasing almost nobody.

What are you? A feminist?

WTF?

So every woman with an opinion is suddenly a "feminist" (by which I assume you mean a host of negative stereotypes)? Since my comments have no political connotations whatsoever and are purely a rant about toy collecting I have no idea where you get off making such a bizarre remark.

Should I envision you in turn as the thirty year-old+ virgin still living at home with his mom?

1:6 line is where it's at. My wife would think I was even more of a cheese ball then I am if I got into collecting the super cheese ball PF stuff.

:lol:lol:lol:lol

Laugh it up Panzerhammer. I'm not the one who knows the precise measurements of a stormtrooper codpiece.

No, I just read the caption under your screen name, read your strident hyperbolic rant, and decided to give you a hard time. :monkey3

I think I would have done the same to a self-proclaimed masculinist. And probably not because I hate men with opinions.

Its the "whine" thread..stuff it virgin!! lol.

...and I love sideshow..but with the horrible decisions being made and prices sky rocketing... its a recipe for bankruptcy..which I dont want to see.

Without their Buffy line I would not even have know Sideshow existed and probably would never have gotten into 1:6 scale figures. I do not want to see them fail either. As an accountant though I think Sideshow started to make increasing poor decision in the last few years and bankrupcy is a real risk for exactly the reasons you note.

Again the fact it took them almost a year to bring Vader from prototype at last years SDCC to delivery is the most worrying sign of all (regarding cash flow, current liability coverage). People can blame the new body, etc. but when Lando was announced in February, it was with a 4th quarter release. Since they are almost always a few months late, that means a year to deliver a simple human figure. Not a sign of a well-run company. Their prototype-to-production schedule should improve over time not get worse.

As such I defy anyone at Sideshow to explain to me the business sense of releasing an obscure character like Thrawn with an extremely expensive accessory.

I see people here with the same list basic wants: Boba Fett, Greedo, Tusken Raiders, Bossk, Admiral Ackbar, Hoth characters, Biker Scouts... But instead we get prequel and EU.

PMS?

SS said they were going to pull from all areas of the SS license. I could care less about EU and don't follow it one bit, but even I have heard of Thrawn. If you don't like it, pass and get what does.

And they've had plenty of figures take up to a year to ship, all of which have turned out spectacularly. Several have been early in respect to their release date.

I also doubt they have trouble with cash flow, if Marvel sales are any indication.

As far as desired characters being released, at every point in their time holding the license, there have been figures collectors have demanded. At one point it was Maul. One point Vader and Stormtroopers. One point there weren't enough OT. Etc. The list gets shorter and shorter, and still, people hold the ones not yet released as signs of an impending apocalypse. It's ridiculous.

It's a kilt.

:lol:lol:lol awesome!..i think you dropped this? BTW *hands you a little dirk*

I honestly see nothing wrong with SS Star Wars releases as of late, they have came a long way, their product is getting better with each release..on paper anyway.
