Great news. I probably won't be buying this, but, I am hoping it leads the way to a Heath Ledger Joker from Cinemaquette.

Anyone know price tag for this one?

I believe it will be:

What kind of pose would you guys want?

Classic standing tall with clinched fists.

forgive my ignorance, but what is the average msrp on these things...2k?

and does anyone know of a retailer in Canada?

You can get them directly from that website, I think, and they are between $1500 and $2000 usually.

My bet's on Reeves for likeness.

When I searched for Christopher Reeve Superman images, images of him with his fists on his hips came up the most, so that seems to be his signature stance. Might work well for the Cinemaquette.

I'm amazed by this news - Thirty years without a Reeve Superman and now two at once. I fear for the sculpt but anything representing the true Superman is all right with me.
Pose-wise I imagine the generic hands on hips stance will win through but with something in that scale I wonder if this doesn't convey the image better....

Either way, I can't wait to see it!!!

I'm extremely happy for a Superman Cinemaquette you have no idea. I own a Predator and the quality of these Cinemaquette statues are fantastic. But if it's a Reeve Superman I just hope it looks like him since Cinemaquette is not really good with human likenesses. At least in my opinion.

Indiana Jones = Clive Owen

Bruce Lee = Bruce Li or Bruce Leong

Jack Sparrow = My friend's Uncle Fernando

How do you figure they'll do with a Kryptonian likeness?

Do we actually have confirmation that this will be a Reeve Superman, as opposed to a comic adaptation, a Routh, a Reeves, or a Tim Sale cartoon?

Well personally I do hope for a comic version of Superman instead. That's just my personal taste. But we'll just have to wait and see. As soon as the doors at SDCC open I'm going straight for the Cinemaquette booth and ask George Sohn what's cooking bro.

I'll have to disagree on the likenesses - the Sparrow likeness is the best Depp from any collectible company. But they do need to be more consistent.

The Reeve Superman symbol is very distinctive and that's the one they're using in the ad. They're very particular about details, so I can't imagine it would be anything else but Reeve. Also a Reeve Superman is probably the most requested collectible in any format.

Well Darklord, if it's a Reeve I'm absolutely buying it of course. Sure I like the comics but I also remember seeing that movie in the theaters in 1978 and walking out the theater absolutely amazed. I really didn't think they would pull it off but they did a fantastic job. Just like Star Wars it changed me. After watching that movie my brother and I use to pretend we were Superman........of course it didn't help when my idiot brother jumped off my dad's moving pickup truck with a towel around his neck and break his arm. True story.

Yep, Superman the Movie is only surpassed by Star Wars as a momentous film going experience for me. Saw it 8 times the year it came out. Only E.T. is also in that pantheon, but I was older and it didn't effect me as much as SW and Superman.

I wouldn't mind this pose...

I think what helps to is the powerful music scores. You're in a jam packed theater with all the movie goers....then all of a sudden the lights go black....the audience is in stone cold silence....and then BOOM....the music blast out the speakers which pumps up your adrenaline to the max. Those feelings I never got back with other movies. I only had it with Star Wars and Superman.

Have Cinemaquette ever released a likeness that is (intentionally) not of a specific actor? If not if would seem to suggest Reeve or Routh.
