Can you post any pics on the neck mod? Thanks!

The main neck mod I know of is basically, you pop off his head, and if you look inside where the ball joint connects, it's a little plug, with heat and some tool to pry the plug out of the head, you do that, trim a little off the plug, put it on the ball joint, then stick then head down on it and it'll go further down on the neck.

Talked to Cornerstore Comics about my Dutch wrist peg. They are contacting Sideshow and getting me another. They will send it with a return label to ship back my broken figure. Customer service at it's finest, folks. I'm preordering the Predator 1 from them today :rock

No, there are numerous people waiting for Sideshow, he's just not shipping from there yet. It happened with Will Turner before, we got processing notices and then it took weeks for him to ship out, I think there was a customs delay or something, dock strike, I'm not sure why Dutch is stalled, but I'm sure I'll know when he ships.

And SSC has them! That's where Cornerstore got Dutch from and my replacement from. Seems SSC is sitting on them for some reason.

Well it seems for awhile now, Sideshow's been shipping stuff to distributors before direct customers, I think it was the Indy PF I saw the most stirring around here about.

Perhaps the ammount they got in was only enough to satisfy distributor orders.

That's probably the nature of the beast. That's why unless it's an exclusive I have to have, I'll order from Cornerstore or Joe for most of my 1/6 purchases.

Thing is, it didn't use to be, most of the time posts around here would be people at CSC waiting to hear Sideshow direct customers were getting their stuff because it would mean CSC would be getting it eventually, for some reason, it's been reversed.

Ever since Clone-Obi it seems. I remember that being the first Sideshow figure I bought from them as they were shipping before Sideshow or at least the regular versions of him.

Although I don't necessarily like it the dealers getting their stuff first seems like a smart move. You want your dealers to sell their stock. When customers see them getting their items later it makes them consider other sources. Sideshow tries not to be in direct competition with dealers.

here are my mod pictures,......

I used the cutting the socket in the head method. I put the hair dryer on the head for a few minutes to soften the head and got a pair of needle nose pliers and pulled the socket out. there was not much glue holding it in.
then just cut a bit away at a time until I was happy with the results.

the bits I cut away. THE SOCKET IS THE LARGER PIECE AT THE BACK.

the socket sits deeper into the head. you can see the line in the head where it used to come to.

Just got my Dutch and Billy from SSC today, Dutch looks great, I checked to make sure he had a left and right arm and that his elbows weren’t cracked. The muscle body looks great, but the articulation sucks, I can barely get Dutch to hold his M-16 with both hands, but Billy's hands pop off when I try it with him. “I’d love to have the Arnold head sculpt with out the camouflage paint on a regular Hot Toys body.” (That’s a hint Hot Toys/Sideshow.) I can also see what everyone is talking about the neck and the jacket. I’m going to leave my Dutch’s neck alone for now and the jacket I had to tuck in his pants real tight to get it to look like it wasn’t swallowing him. I had no problem with any of his accessories, even the cigar stayed in almost every time I put it in (I did have to go crawling on the floor after it once though.) Billy looks great as well and no problems with his body (except holding the gun) or his neck, but his accessories were a b**ch to get on :banghead and I still couldn’t get his harness hocks to hock right. I almost wish Hot Toys had went with the same size zipper that they used on Dutch, that huge zipper want let the velcro hold the top of his vest together and the look does take a little away from it in my opinion. All in all I very happy to finally have them and will be even happier when the Predator 1 arrives. I'm just hoping that I’m working and working good before Hot Toys decides to turn out the rest of Dutch’s unit.:angelsmil

Well, it's got to be either a BBI, Hot Toys, Sideshow, Ultimate Soldier, GI Joe, Soldier Story, Dragon Models or any number of other 1/6 scale figure manufacturers.:naughty

sweet!!! that plant in the background works really well!! the last shot is almost exactly like the poster cover. thanks bro.

Thanks, Bro. Takes some work posing the M-16 but it can be done. The head is definitely not too small, it's just that the body is so big, but you can see from the profile shots the head is in scale. I may weather the pants but there's really no reason to weather the vest. Although I did water treat it. Btw, he actually wore a different vest later in the film. Poster Cover vest was smaller, all black/dark green w/ smaller pockets and different rear waist strap.
