I went to see a movie last night at my local theater and the lobby was packed with people waiting to get into (I'm assuming) Twilight. I've never seen the lobby full before, usually on a weekend the theaters are full, but this was very different.

I saw Zack and Miri Make a Porno, I think I made the right decision :lol

I still will not see this film, I'll be too busy dipping my balls in lava and watching Nosferatu... remembering the glory days when Vampires were scary and not glittering in daylight. :google
Just remember to leave enough room for me to get some Lava on my balls too. :D ^^^^ these fake ass 'Vampires'! :monkey4

To be honest, I never heard of Twilight till I saw it in Badmoon's siggy. No buzz around here about it. I went to youtube to check it out and there's a whole bunch of vids with girls ^^^^^ing about Russell Brand interupting the Twilight actors during the VMA awards. They're saying things like, Brand should die and stuff like that. People are nuts! :lol

I saw this yesterday. I haven't read any of the books, but I enjoyed it. It actually was better than I expected. I was told this beat the Dark Knight for biggest Midnight opening though, so I'm a little pissed about that.

I would like to retract my statement about dipping my balls in lava.. that was over the line. I've just had a horrible weekend...

Josh, don't know what happened this weekend but all I'm gonna say is, don't crucify this movie without giving it a chance first. It's easy for many of us to bash something we don't like.

There is a large fanbase for these books (probably second behind the Potter series). Like I've said, we are not the target audience. This was actually pretty well done and quite enjoyable (for someone who's read the book).

Don't be ignorant and bash something without even given it a chance.

But I enjoy being ignorant and fearful of change.

I had a pretty similar post in mind for both Irish and Josh. I will keep the politics out of it. So I won't respond to Josh because my post would have directly involved that. I will however, say to Irish:

Arent you the same person that went ape ^^^^ on people that downed the latest Indy movie before the saw it? Yep! You are. So unless you know what you are talking about it might be best to reserve judgement. :D

Like I said, I wouldn't pay to see it again in the theaters (although my wife is going with her girlfriends tomorrow afternoon) if it were on TV I wouldn't change and the channel and watch it. I went in with amazingly low expectations and turned out to like it the more I think about it. Soundtrack is killer too, have it on my iPhone now.

The movie was far more enjoyable then the book. I think this means the #1 reason the book irked me was the horrible writing. Sure the movie has problems but for what it is (a teen, over romanticized Vampire story) it wasn't THAT bad. I could see myself seeing further film installments but I will never, ever be able to endure the writing style of Stephanie Meyer again.

Seriously, I was just joking. People can love this film if they want, I really don't care. I just personally miss the days when Vampires were scary and not something to write a romance about. That's all.

It's just a film, and fans of it should be happy with it... It doesn't matter what I think. I'm just a random guy with different tastes.

And Badmoon, if you want to unleash on me... go ahead, even politically...I honestly don't care anymore. I don't know how much I care about anything at this moment, my life is so empty and meaningless that anything I say can easily be written off as the ruminations of a man off his rocker.

Josh you life is by far meaningless bro. :duff I don't feel the need to be a chode toward a friend. I really wanted to make a point. However, I value the little friendship we have not to. If anything I will offer that if you need someone to talk to please let me know. However, never say your life is meaningless. You rock in book! :rock

Thanks man... :duff

I just feel like I am losing my mind over here... and I don't really know why. Today I just got hit with this wave of emotion that has dragged me into an abyss. It's crazy...
