Jal76 watch this, I am also in the forgiving side here, It's not like there is a better option for 1/6 scale legolas. The sculpt is there, the hair could use improvement but overall I am still happy Ihave him in my collection.

Thanks so much for the video optical20! I am now convinced and am picking this figure up today! It looks like it will be a great addition to my small but growing 1/6 LOTR collection!

Think you will be happy with him - IMO the costume in particular is very nice, plus the knives, bow, arrows, etc. Too true about being an addictive hobby tho. Also, hafta say I've seen few companies for any product who have the personal luv for a line the way ASMUS has, and interacts with the fans.

Amazing, really.

That is one of the things that keeps pulling me in. I have not been overly excited about Hot Toys latest slate because I love to collect figures of properties that I am passionate about. I enjoy the MCU...little burned out on Star Wars but my 2 biggest loves are Film and Toys. Most of my collection is Hot Toys but I picked up Asmus? Hateful 8 line and was really impressed. Love the LOTR films so I thought it may be time to dive in. My worry was that the quality would be too far off from Hot Toys but my Elrond arrived from Sideshow yesterday and I was literally floored with how amazing the quality was.

Wow. Well if being genuinely knocked to the floor from the force of your satisfaction isn’t a great review then I don’t know what is!

depending on your expectation. I have more hot toys than asmus but I can tell you, if you are lord of the rings fan, no one does it better than Asmus. There are areas where hot toys does better and I believe there are areas where asmus does well. costume, rooted hairs, die cast weapons etc. the good news is that asmus for the most part cheaper than hot toys.

Has Asmus been more open to the idea of Crown Legolas? I imagine he has to be released again eventually with rooted hair and a younger Bloom headsculpt. Has anyone asked Asmus lately?

My Legolas should be arriving today...obviously late to the party but better late than never.

I broke down and got one new on eBay last week for $220 (included taxes and shipping). I get more excited by the day to see him in person. :)

Congratulations! He is not perfect BUT you will have a blast posing him and appreciating the other details on this figure.

Wow! This is simply stunning! I opted for the Luxury edition and the shelf presence is amazing. Maybe I am just giddy on LOTR right now but this figure is currently in a room surrounded by some of my favorites from Hot Toys and Blitzway and as a total package is on par with most of them to me. The head sculpt and the tailoring on the outfit significantly exceeded my expectations and I really do not have any issues with the hair sculpt. This is one of my favorite figures in any line. Thanks to the folks on this thread who nudged me in the right direction!

yeah once you get pass the hair (which it didn't bother you to begin with) he is an excellent figure. Good potability., nice accessories beautiful base. Maybe one day well get a crack at a 2.0 head sculpt.

Legolas Luxury edition is my latest LotR figure to be released from its packaging and I have to say he's one of my favorites, so far.

Great figure, all around. The sculpted hair doesn't bother me in the least. Sure, faux hair done right would most likely take it to the next level but I'm in no hurry to do so.

Unfortunately, I couldn't display him standing on the cave troll's noggin', as it won't fit in the display case, so he'll be displayed alongside Aragorn and Gimli, once it is the dwarf's turn to get set up.

It actually looks more yellow in those pics of mine. In hand, it's more of a light sand color. I highly recommend the figure. The only possible downside is that you'll then need to pick up Aragorn and Gimli to finish up the trio!

Nah, Legolas' Daddy is way more fun:monkey3 and I really need a Mirkwood Legolas with rooted hair and Thranduil with his berry crown and throne but not to be ungrateful or anything:monkey3

And Legolas is a great fig; well worth having, and I would pick up another if ASMUS does a version #2. The hair paint is kinda thick and have seen better hair work *shrug* but great costume and looks great on shelf. :legolas

Nope. This fig has been out for a while - plenty of in hand pics - and my fig anyway has a mix of white/blonde hair. It tends more to the yellow side. *Shrug* I'm not a painter but if it mattered to me that much I'd either do a light wash with white or something; or shell out for a rooted hair job $$$$

As is he looks great on the shelf - amazing costume. Plus I've seen figs with a bow that got ONE arrow to go with; and ASMUS didn't cheap out there u get knives AND a full quiver of arrows. All beautifully painted.
