Really enjoyed the flick and will be all in on a Mysterio figure, if Hot Toys go down that route. Also,

I love the design because it's relatively comic accurate, but...

After watching Homecoming, I was SUPER amped to buy a Vulture Hot Toys figure... After watching FFH today, I know better than to let myself hope for Mysterio... :'(

Well you gotta keep in mind that part of the reason why Vulture was never made was that his sheer size (and therefore price) would have made it unattainable for a good chunk of collectors. Since Mysterio is a normal-sized figure I'd say the chances of him being made are much higher.

I have a good feeling about Mysterio being made. It would be a reasonably sized figure, it’s unique, but it retains a lot of elements that HT is familiar with.

They'll risk size and price for heroes like Falcon and Diecast Iron Man, but not on villains. Although I do think Vulture's wingspan was greater than Falcon's by a fair bit.

I'm interested in this figure now after watching the movie. Loved how they handled Mysterio!

While I agree with you with respect to the size of Vulture's wings, I don't see how that would have priced him out the reach of many collectors. The fan motors & center section make his wings a bit more complex than Falcon's, but even a $100-$125 price increase would still have kept it at or below $400. I think plenty of people would have ponied up for it at that price - just look at how many of us pulled the trigger on the DC version of the Mk VII, the Mark L, the Mark LXXXV and Armored Thanos. We b*tched about the cost, but we still ordered most (if not all) of them. :lol

Right...well I feel like Iron Man is the rare exception where we collectors would pony up the outrageous cost and justify it based on the luxurious diecast.

Also for the record I did not order the Mark L...but it wasn't due to the price...it was due to the overall rushed design of the suit (which I have been very vocal on already...so no need to repeat!).

I do have 85 on pre-order though! :cuckoo:

But anyways, getting back on point...with respect to Vulture, I can see collectors being turned off by its massive size of the wings and the price. While the Vulture was cool, he is by no means as iconic as Thanos was that people would feel justified in paying close to $400 for it.

Granted, IM collectors are a breed unto themselves, so point noted. But given how many of us are always complaining about (a) the lack of consistently good villains in the MCU and (b) HT's corresponding lack of releases, I think most of us would jump at the chance to get Vulture, especially in light of Keaton's iconic performance. The fact that we're still talking about it 2 years after the movie's release and after its sequel's premiere is an indication of that. Then again, it may just reflect my obsession about obtaining it. :lol

As for Mysterio, I'd jump at the chance to order him. I think it would be awesome if HT resurrected their DX line and released him

Did they announce it yet? No? how about now?

this is literally me every few minutes since seeing Mysterios design and even more so after seeing the movie.

I'm wondering how they'll deal with his animated helmet, though? The smoke-like look within it, you know? Will it just be painted on? Or be some type of light-up feature that makes it look cool? Not sure how they'll pull that part off.

I watched ffh yesterday. While I'm curious if this gets made i wouldnt buy it unless it came with must have accessories.

The film was just ok, maybe a top 10 (and mean #10) mcu film but not any higher.

The mid credits scene was great, the post credits was terrible. It wasnt even as good as the captain america homecoming scene.

I was really hoping they would tease the next avengers villain.

Saw the movie and thought Mysterio was cool. I really hope HT does offer him up for PO very soon with a deluxe version that would include a Hydro-Man base.

Totally would STILL buy the Vulture. They need to have a deluxe with wings and one just with the figure. Everyone wins. Now they are going all hog **** on Spider-Man it’s even more reason why we need some of his villains.

Go look up some of the Spin Master deluxe Tron Legacy figures. If they take the projection tech that was in that and perfect it, then that's 100% the ticket. I suspect it will be a breathing effect with a molded smoke cloud in the fishbowl.

I also hope that one of the accessories or "special edition" bonuses is the snowglobe.
