They did. There was even a guy dressed up like the woman, if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: Here it is...

LOL! Thanks Carl! Now this made me laugh! They do other dances too! :lol

:lol Wow they are great

Yeah, they nailed it. Probably because that's all they had to do while in prison. :lol

No Xenomorph, though. :p

I just can't even imagine what started this. Hey come join our thriller dance party! LOL! It will be fun! We can all level up on Everquest and then get together for our yearly bout of activity. :lol

Actually, after reading about it on the YouTube comments (and then a link to the Atlanta paper) it was all apart of an attempt to set some Guinness World Record or something. Here's the article: https://blogs.ajc.com/inside-access/2009/09/08/dragoncon-thriller-dancers-might-break-world-record/

What's funny is that I was at the Con all four days (even stayed at the hotel) and I never heard of this thing until tonight. I guess I was too busy punching my liver apart with alcohol. :banana

That was kind of cool... mostly because of the Alien
but not as impressive as this one:

What's the "theme" of dragon con. Sounds like a D&D crowd from the name.

There is absolutely no singular "theme" to Dragon*Con (despite its name). Basically, anything within pop culture or history is fair game. You'll see everything there from chicks wearing noting but pasties & body paint to to WWII reinactors to pirates to Klingons, Superheroes & Stormtroopers to Steampunk groups to a dude dressed as the ShamWow guy.

Again, Mardi Gras for geeks is probably the most apt description.

Well put, SDCC has more taste applied to its costumers. Of course you will see some where their costumes hug a bit here and there, but you have a lot more superheroes representing SDCC, and more "group" costumers in most cases at Dragon Con.

so there are chicks wearing just pasties and body paint and all i get to see is a room full of stank dancing to thriller?????

That was hilarious. It would be really funny to see a bunch of elaborate costumes doing it.

And what is with all the negativity here? Someone get their cheerios pissed in this morning?
