Styling a 1/6 wig

I picked up a 1/6 scale synthetic mohair wig and cut it short for my Resident Evil 2 Leon custom, but I can't seem to get the hair tamed. I've tried wetting the wig and placing elastics to hold it close to the head while it dries and tried using some hair gel to style it, but neither method has been effective.

Anyone have any tips?

Way i have always used is hair styling moose on the tips of your
fingers and style with moose covered fingers.
Then when it dries spray on hair spray to hold it in place.

Merc where did you get the wig from?

There's plenty of wigs of fleabay, usually they're rather oversized though, you'll have to trim them quite a bit to look "realistic"

Hair lacquer sprayed onto fingers after being wet out with water works for me. Dry and finish with a light spray of more lacquer.
