You just saved me 12.50 at the box office, thanks Youtube!:D

why do they think these type of movies will translate well to live action? they should ALWAYS be cartoon/anime, etc. only. that being said, I'll rent it for sure.

I thought this thread was a joke, now I think I'm going to be sick. It looks like it'll be horrible, the effects and scenes looked okay, but the premise doesn't seem to work. And the actors, though good, don't seem appropriate for the parts (these are supposed to be some of the toughest people in the world after all).

Like lots of things lately, the main problem is the movie drifts too far from the source material. Street Fighter by nature should really be an ensemble sort of thing. Trying to flesh out the backstory of a supporting character just stretches it too thin. Plus, Kristen Kreuk's acting is weak sauce. Smallville is so much better when she's not on it.

Why they shy away from Ryu is puzzling. The series itself has evolved about Ryu's continued quest at being the best fighter in the world which naturally would take him through the different fighting locales and people. Why they feel the need to take Guile for the first and Chun-Li for this one and have everyone else revolve around them never made any sense.

If you check your brain at the door I'm sure this will be fun to watch. If you go into it expecting something ground breaking or Oscar worthy don't bother. I'll check it out simply for the fact that I love the Chun-Li character (Shut up Karma) and Kristin Kreuk is gorgeous. 'Nuff Said.

Here's a poster I found:

Cool! Atleast, if the movie sucks, I still get to see a couple of Asian beauties jumping around in tights.:monkey5
