I would think that Sideshow knows they can use the same tooling (at least) twice if they make two versions of R2 & 3PO. Shiny and dirty. Why not, right. They will sell if done right.

No doubt. Then make and sell all the droids in the different colors like in the films.
They made sure to do this with the Stormtroopers and Clonetroopers.

I'm hoping C3PO comes with a communicator, Magnetic restraining bolt, and a swap out ROTJ head with eye and wires hanging out.

Given the absolutely insane number of accessories for R2, Sideshow is sure to pull out all the stops for 3PO. They may even include a stand.
