When prices were lower and there were less figures out there, a lackluster release wasn't so much an issue but with the sheer number of figures released at a much higher price it's hard to justify buying a niche character at this quality with this price. Hopefully, the upcoming SSC figures like Jack Burton, Ash, Jason, etc. turn out better. I really want SSC to succeed with 1/6.

I want them to succeed as well, especially since I'm anxiously awaiting their 1/6 Jason Voorhees, but this Beetlejuice figure is borderline insulting.

Head sculpt aside, the suit jacket looks like it belongs to Sideshow c. 2004. Looks bunchy and bulky.

Maybe their way of trying to move some of the reg version. Its early days so I won't be surprised if this ends up in sales fairly soon

Beetlejuice arrived. Just waiting for the unboxing vid to finish uploading so took some quick pics. So far the main gripes have been the expression and the suit. So far suit is a little chaotic and this is always an issue with 1/6 scale suits. The shirt collar is always difficult. The expression is.... Wrong! He looks like he just watched an entire episode of embarassing bodies. Anyway so quick shots I think the figure needs some serious futzing and a new head sculpt. Also... I can't express my disappointment in the fact the tombstone which I ordered never arrived either. It must come seperately or hasn't been made yet.

I see Keaton in the sculpt, but yeah the expression isn't what most of us had in mind

The final sculpt and paint match the prototype pretty well, which is rare for SSC, so that's a good or bad thing depending on your opinion of the prototype.

$240 is a ridiculous price though....

That should be a $135-150 figure, IMO.

Agreed. I just paid $373 dollrs for this and the tombstone (which hasn't been released). I then paid another $62 dollars import tax and still have the tombstone's tax waiting. So $435 so far... **** it really isn't worth that much!
