When I joined SSF back in 2009 and nervously posted a WIP picture of my first kitbash (Malcolm Reynolds), Richard was quick to offer praise and encouragement. Not only that, but he made and sent me a pair of metal coat clips for Mal's duster; he wouldn't even let me pay for shipping. I never saw a post from Richard that was anything but positive. He was always there to encourage and help when he could. So many times I saw people post pictures of their hard work, myself included, and the only post to follow would be Richard's, offering praise and maybe some constructive input. If that was how Richard was on the internet, I can only imagine what a good man he was in life. You have my deepest sympathies for your loss.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
I am not sure we had any interaction, but I always remember seeing his posts as being positive and helpful.
Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family.
