Mission Impossible has better action than Bond- still getting tired of the Bond v HMSS because they don't trust him routine though

Yeah the Bond formula is pretty stale i?m good when it comes to Bond let it end already after this sheesh lol

There is enough there from each actor that played the role to retire on.

I got my 3

Connery: FRWL
Brosnan: GE
Craig: CR

What is considered Roger Moore best one I always forget I bet its not Moonraker or View to a Kill lol

Liked him in LALD and Spy, even in Moonraker ( I love it but not a Bond film) he sorta looked ok playing it with a straight face

Octopussy was my favorite Moore film followed by Man with the Golden Gun and View To A Kill..I mean Watkins was one of the best villains in the franchise ever

Ana is great. An exotic beauty that is instantly likable in anything she appears in.

BTW, did anyone else notice that Ana was just nominated for a BEST ACTRESS Golden Globe for Knives Out? There's now a reason to watch that show besides seeing Ricky Gervais take the piss out of everyone in the room.

I miss the innovation of Bond. I always enjoyed the leap they took with Moonraker and many of the off the wall gadgets. I just fail to see the technology making a big impact in these latest ones. The mass surveillance thing was old news when Spectre came out.

It's hard to make technology cool when a lot of the tech that was "spy stuff" is accessible and in people's pockets daily now. And with the gritty tone I just don't think I could see Craig going to the moon, or surfing down a wall of water.

I wish they'd bring back a chase sequence as good as the one at the beginning of CR. That construction chase has still not been topped. That had a great balance of believability and yet over-the-top.

Craig Bond needs more of those sequences and a little less of his brooding interactions with MI6 which never seems to trust him and always thinks he's too old.

It's kinda ridiculous. He only became a 00 in Casino Royale. Quantum of Solace was set immediately after that and in Skyfall they're already playing the too old for this ***t card.

The issues are clearly reflective of the producers.

I really don't think they should ever play the "too old" card... I mean, it just brings attention to itself, and begs the question: if he's truly too old then why cast him? They had the good taste not to question Moore's age and he looked too old from Moonraker on.

I don't mind it but if you're going to acknowledge within the movies that he's getting on in years you don't keep getting him back for more films and repeating the 'brought out of retirement' premise over and over.

For some reason Bond has had a difficult relationship with MI6 and M for decades now. What happened to the days when they actually relied and trusted 007? Why is he always skulking around with new-Q and Moneypenny like he's been framed? Maybe they should just use that idea for a storyline -- frame Bond so he truly is a wanted man.
