Are you BS'ing? because I just bought a new riding mower and these ads show all over the net for me now for mowers and I accused Lowe's of selling off my buying info.

if you used your phone either google or facebook would have saved that. or your computer. but it is mostly facebook. if you have the facebook app then facebook does look into your messages and stuff. the app searches inside your phone

Most of the ads that pop-up are down to cookies placed on your laptop/PC/phone that websites use to track activity, along with adware.

If you don't want that because you're a tinfoil-hat-head then don't allow cookies to be saved or delete them once a day, and block/delete adware.

Now - your ISP keeps a COMPLETE log of sites you've visited - so if you're up to something you'd be embarrassed about going public with - you'd have to take further steps
