So what are the chances of Mattel doing a 1989 / 1992 RC Batmobile someday?

Would be cool but slim. Usually modern movies have better toy sales than older films. Because it's mostly feeding to nostalgia.
And the Justice League Batmobile didn't perform that well. I bought mine when it first came out but there are a lot of stock that went on clearance or big discounts.

The 1989 Batmobile is still among the most recognizable Batmobiles (along with the 1966 model) and next year is the 30th Anniversary.
They just recently made a DeVito Penguin and Kilmer Batman, so I think it's a possibility.
