pass.
I had hopes, but it's just typical Cop drama schlock.
It piqued my interest at first, but there's just no point in trying to copy what Mel Gibson and Danny Glover had. I wish these studios would stop trying to get rating from shows that are reboots of good films. Fox had a really good buddy-cop show with Almost Human and they cancelled it. This doesn't look near as good so it'll probably be on for 5 seasons.
The banter and chemistry between those two was excellent, and is still the only buddy cop work that I truly loved. And it had all rock solid sequels.

Spoiler:Now, did I miss something, what exactly was Riggs' plan to rescue that child again? Seemed like Roger's intervention was the only way Riggs and the kid got out of that situation alive and yet Riggs had handcuffed Roger inside his trailer. What if Roger decided not to try freeing himself and just waited there? What if Roger couldn't free himself? What if Roger did free himself but couldn't get there on time? What if Roger made his dramatic entrance but got killed in the process? Seems like they want to show that Riggs is nuts like in the movies but when a child's life is at stake you'd think he'd temporarily shelve his suicidal inclination and come up with a plan that didn't rely on sheer luck
I watched the premiere just now. Honestly, I didn't hate it. .
