(Don't You) Forget About Me.....

We will never forget you Mr. Hughes.....sad day indeed. His movies were such a HUGE part of my jr high/high school years....with The Breakfast Club being my favorite. I had a lot of good laughs from those movies....Long Duck Dong....getting high and dancing in the library....good times, good times.

Ferris: [to the Cameron] "Cameron, how many miles did you say the car had?"
Ferris: [to the audience] "Here's where Cameron goes berserk."

Bethany: McHenry is pretty far from Jersey, might I ask what brings you guys to Illinois?
Jay: Some :censored named John Hughes.
Bethany: "16 Candles" John Hughes?

You'll be missed John.

Even though it was made before he passed, it makes a great tribute

Although I didn't get to grow up as a teen in the 80's, Hughes' films still have an impact on my life when I first got to watch them. Looking at his IMDB page, I had no idea that a good portion of his films are in my DVD collection!
R.I.P. Mr. Hughes. :(

Wow, sad news. I loved MANY of this mans films. He proved you could make a funny movie that both adults and kids could watch.
