I just saw the coolest Christmas lights EVER!

OK, maybe they aren't as cool as a synchronized music display, like this one:

But, what I saw while I was driving tonight is still very very cool. It was a set of what looked like ordinary C9 bulbs along the roofline of a house. That is, until they started changing colors, and chasing. I saw at least four different colors coming from each bulb, and the entire set (about 150 bulbs) was working together. I am assuming that the bulbs are LED bulbs, but I've never seen them multi-colored or chasing like that before. I've been trying to find out more about them (I didn't have time to stop and annoy the people at that house), but I know that I must have them. The Clark Griswold in me (as evidenced by my new holiday signature ) is going nuts about this.

Anyone ever heard of this before, or know where I can get these things?

i love christmas lights to a point and while that is a very cool set up in the video i cant help but wonder if his across the street neighbor might be slightly pissed at that set up..................

But just to be clear again, the video is not what I saw tonight for the first time. I've seen synchronized light setups for years, and know how to do that. What I saw tonight was a light set that had individual C9 bulbs that were changing colors and chasing, and I MUST know where to find them!

Sorry RoboDad, can't help you in your quest, but they sound pretty cool. I love Christmas lights and I like the display I've got up this year. It isn't much, but I like simplicity. As for those synchronized lights, that's really something.

Yeah, one of my neighbors has a synchronized setup, and it's very cool (and for those who wonder, the music doesn't play through speakers, it's on an FM radio frequency).

I've priced out what I would want in such a system, but it would be about $2500-3000 (or more, knowing me ), and the WAF makes that unattainable.

That's why I'm so excited by these new lights. They are the "next best thing" for me, and I'm sure they are a LOT cheaper .
