This is insanely lifelike. The level of detail and seamless articulation really pushes things to the next level. I would love to either see Hot Toys open a division focused on high end upgrade portraits, or a third-party company come along to fill that niche. Imagine being able to upgrade Arnold Schwarzenegger, Christian Bale, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlet Johanssen, etc. If someone figures out how to mass produce upgrade portraits with this level of hyper realism, I'm sure they could easily sell for at least $200/per.

HT have become complacent and lazy since becoming the Mayor of Marvel figures. They used to excite and innovate years ago. Now it's just getting Tony Stark's goatee right.

That's what happens when you lock up the major licenses. There's no incentive to innovate. Unfortunately, this also steps on the air hose of other companies that could come along and introduce game changing improvements. Even if some upstart company was able to come up with a system, HT would just fire off a C&D. So by kneecapping the marketplace, the only option is super expensive customs or unlicensed knockoffs.

Phase One - Yell about how HT seamless joints suck cuz the rubber/silicone cracks and tears.
Phase Two - Complain about the company not using seamless joints.
Phase Three - :slap
