I hope the body they use for shaw has tiny breasts and a double jointed elbow with a small rear end

Yes the Space Jockey is an alien
Yes that alien is a biomech
Yes that he designed them as humanoids who wear the suits that fuse with them as shown
Yes the Engineer in Prometheus is a biomechanoid that fuses with the bioorganic suit

Jesus christ! Im indifferent to this whole discussion but stop saying the Engineer was ALWAYS a man in a suit because of that ****ing book. That book is nothing to do with Alien, Alien stole a few designs from the book but the movie wasnt based on it! In Alien we seen giant elephant man sat in a chair. We didnt see half bio suit man in a chair, bald man anywhere. Just giant elephant man in a chair, everything in the movie and audio commentary was stating that it wasnt a suit, but an Alien in a chair not an alien in a SUIT in a chair.

Jesus, necronomicon or whatever it is called isnt the official Alien artwork book.

You are aware giger and his work are not just created for the soul purpose of the alien franchise right?

These were his conceptual designs for Alien I posted showing the life cycle of the creature and on beings who interacted with it.

NOT from the book. If it says ALIEN and gives a date, those were paintings he was commissioned to do for the film after Ridley Scott liked his work in the Necronomicon. You are wrong.

What we ended up in Alien was a face hugger, which was similar in design to something from his artwork, the Xenomorph which was similar in design to his artowork, the Jockey which was similar in design to his artwork, and the settings which were similar in design to the artwork. Ridley wanted to borrow designs from the book, but everything that was in the book and was not shown in Alien was for a purpose. You cant inject the Jockey was a guy in a suit into official Alien canon because of some artwork in a book that was never used.

Again, it's not from the book. He painted those with the dates written on them solely under film commission. His mural with them in the suits by the eggs is even a deleted scene.

Also HR Giger built the prop himself, so nice try.

But you're wrong.

If they didnt make it into the film then it doesnt count. AT ALL!

Because theres hundreds? Thousands of movies out there. Well not even movies, games too with conceptual art that never made it to the game or movie and thus isnt canon. Isnt official.

Sabers is right, stop trying to retcon Alien to make Prometheus work. Retcon Prometheus to make Alien work.

They all work. That is what they are. The films stand together and it isn't up to the viewers to make the ties happen. It is up to the filmmakers. Hopefully we have a sequel to flesh out a little more, but if not, this is what we are left with.

Actually it does because it's in the film.

I showed you HR Giger's idea for it
and you know Ridley's idea for it.

There is zero argument that it was an elephant.
Both Ridley Scott and HR Giger disagree. from 1977

AVP comics are not canon sorry
Ridley calls AVP an abomination and has never watched them.

Why hasn't a mod deleted this teenager? That's two threads completely ruined by two idiots. The same old self fabricated wank over and over again.

The only one off topic and acting like a child is you. Projecting much?

Those facts sure are painful brah

Im ignoring you on the basis you are a knob head. Im not going to waste time with somebody who talks out of their arse and believes it. Makes up their own facts and quotes and uses scribbles as in movie canon eventhough after 36 years its still never been meant to be official.

Wheres Larja? I prefer debating with him.

Nice argument again. I have presented truckloads of evidence while you have presented zero.

It must be fun being intellectually dishonest regardless of the facts. :rotfl
Even when presented to you, with the only evidence of your own calling your opponent a "knob head"

who do you pay to write this stuff??

Awesome pics dude, but I think you don't really understand Giger's art...

The first pic is of one of the astronauts being impregnated. It's not a Space Jockey. Same goes for the second set of pics of face-hugging (the ones with the pliers). Those are humans. Giger just puts the lines on the arms because that's his art. Those are NOT Space Jockeys.
As for the mural from the pyramid sequence, it didn't make it to the final script, so it's a moot point what he was drawing then, since what made it to the final film was so different.

And why did you bring a pic of the Poltergeist designs into the Alien/Prometheus discussion?

Actually it is, and you're the one who doesn't understand his art.

They are all the "Engineers" designed to be the beings who interacted with the creature. They are a mirror of the company representing the fates of the humans who encounter them.

The Jockey in Alien is a trucker whose cargo goes out of control foreshadowing the fate of our heroes. Nostromo crew = Space Truckers

Prometheus they are scientists, whose experiments get out of control and kill them. Prometheus crew = Scientests

The poltergeist pic is an unused piece of Giger's art. Ridley Scott used many unused HR Giger designs in Prometheus including his DUNE dome pyramid design among a myriad of other things.

BTW, just because the face-huggers in those EARLY designs had pliers-shaped beaks, teeth and eyes, if Scott put plier-shaped beaked, teethed and googly-eyed face-huggers that would mean that's what they were always meant to look like?

That same design is carved on the Deacon mural. So for all we know that is simply another form of them.
