So psyched. I was able to score an Avengers Captain America minus the Rodgers head sculpt and Alien gun (I don't need either) on eBay for $180 plus $16 s/h.

That's a good buy. Any defects to it like the shield having paint chips?

Shields are perfect according to the seller. I think I'm gonna sell them so this figure ends up costing almost nothing. I have the custom die cast shield for him so I don't need the regular ones! Psyched!:yess:

Has anyone attached caps shield to his back somehow?

Paper clips are your friend when you need to attach things onto the back of a HT figure.
Just get a pair of needle nosed pliers and go to town.

I guess Im going to make a custom shield clip for my Rescue Cap. I think I can afford a paper clip.

Awesome trick with the paperclip. I'll be doing that for my Avengers Capt!

Hi guys, I am trying to get my hands on a Cap, but cannot seem to find the Tamiya sealant anywhere near me, is there an alternative? Rutoleum makes a semi gloss clear spray and thats all I have near by.View attachment 118179

I'm still relatively new to Hot Toys. This was my first figure - should I be getting a sealant for the shield? Is there a known problem?

Your shield will flake. Not if, when. Seal it with Tamiya-79 a few light coats(but it may flake anyway after a while). Also the straps inside the shield become unglued but thats an easy fix.

Thanks guys, I assume it's a spray? I'll see if I can find one in the UK.

I had a look in Hobbycraft today and only found this:

I bought it but I'm not sure if using it on the shield would be a good idea. Any advice would be appreciated :lecture

Anyone know how far I can lift the arm(turning the shoulder joint)? It seems like the costume is really tight, so I don't want it to rip...

I think there is an illustration in the instructions (if you have them) that shows the degree of movement. I think you can raise the arms just below the shoulders and you should be able to rotate the arms all the way around so long as you untwist the sleeves while doing so.
