Thanks! I knew I got the wings wrong. Any tips on what tools can I use besides a nailfile? I don't have a dremel.

You can use sandpaper on the sides of the helmet, just don't go to crazy and scuff all around the helmet. I believe Tamiya titanium x-32 is a good match to repaint the sanded area to cover. I'll post more picks on the helmet tonight. I was refitting my V1 last night with Avengers pieces I picked up. I have 2 helmets and this one in the pic below is the stock out of the box. Need to dig out the modded one tonight.

I like the look of the mixed Thors. No comparison on the body and the updated chain-mail. Both Thor sculpts are weak to me, but the V1 gets the luxury to cover up most of it with the helmet. Great looking figure all armored up.

The mix for this is one in the pic:Avengers Body,Avengers Chainmail and arm guards and Avengers Leg armor. Rest (what little is left ) is V1.
Really dig the helmet look and will display this one with Loki.

Yes. Here's the real McCoy from the movie. You can see the forward angle and how the wings come in on the jawline.

I just finished up sanding down the tabs and painting the helmet.Here's a mini how to I did for anybody wanting to mod the helmet.

Tools and helmet after cracking off wings.

Tape up the helmet to prevent scratches and leave tabs open. Sand the tabs down till smooth on helmet.

Paint and glue the wings on to form V front balance to level the helmet at the tips.

Comparisons to stock helmet.

Does anyone know how easy it is to remove the armour from Thor to add the new look chain mail?

Also do I need to buy the undershirt/padding too, or can I use the chain mail over the bare body?

Will the flesh be visible under the arms?

It is easy. Just need to crack the back seam on the chest armor. Look 2 pages back for the pics.

As for the chain mail, I purchased the vest just to keep the arm pieces held to the body better for posing. You do not need it, the body will not show through but you may have to tuck the arms in individually if you pose it in extreme arm positions and it pops out of the armor.

One the armour has been opened, how easy is it to put back together and stay!?

Do you need to re-glue it, or does it stay closed once its been cracked open?

How easy is it to get hold of the spare parts for a mod. Looked on eBay and there are a few, but some at really high prices!

Also, I was just wondering if the new Thor sleeves and armour will fit the the version 1 body?

They will fit just need to work the sleeves a bit. They were tailored to the new body so you will have some inconsistencies with the arms but it looks great once it is on.

I do not know how the new armor fits on the old body. I replaced my VI thor body with the new one. The old armor is a little large on this one, so it may be a tight fit on the v1.

You can see in my pic where the chest armor flares a tad on the figure, I am working on getting it pulled in a little better with heating up the chest piece.

I swapped my Thor arms for some KP arms and now I can't slide the Avengers arm mail over them! Gotta switch back or figure something else out.

Try using a blow dryer and heat them up. Then put some Vaseline lightly on the arms and the sleeves will slide right on. I got the sleeves on Maximum Aggression arms and he looks seriously buffed.

I originally wanted to get the new Avengers sleeves for him, but whilst I was taking the armour off, I thought I'd see how he looked with bare arms and just the chest piece...To my surprise, he looks awesome, so I don't think I'll bother with the Avengers arms after all!

Really happy with the way he turned out.
