About $300 at the lowest. And that's used.

That's not too bad I guess.

As a matter of fact that is about what I paid for mine back in 2017. Thor was my favorite character when I was a kid, and I stumbled upon the Hot Toys figure online somehow. I had no 1/6 scale figures at that time and it was the first I had ever heard of Hot Toys. So I bought the figure from a retail vendor for about $270. If I had more experience I could have shopped around a bit and found him for less but I didn't mind paying that for him at all at that time. I still have ZERO regrets about that purchase!

So, I don't think $300 is an unreasonable price for this figure, of course I am biased :)

The days of being a Hot Toy newb...ah, yes...I remember being one...buying my first MIB fig for $315...

When I first started buying Hot Toys in like 2009 they were less than $200 if memory serves. Even as they got to $200, it wasn't too bad. But $300 is excessive to me, especially for a figure that was not a DX and came out 8 years ago.

Yeah I understand your point, and as I said I am biased toward Thor.

Even maybe because when I started collecting, I think most figures were already around $225, so the idea of paying $300 for a nice figure of a character I like is fine with me. However if we were talking about a character I felt just ok about or was only considering to complete a team or something I would likely pass.

To anyone who has done the Helmet mod from the Thor 1 figure, could you explain how you did it?

I did one for a member on here. He sent me the helmet and i modded an AOU head to accept the helmet. It mainly involved dremelling away most of the head till it fit in the helmet. It's not a job for the faint hearted.

You did a fantastic job with that mod!!!
It also the way you positioned the wings on the helmet give it a much better look overall!!!

I followed you example a while back with my Thor (Dark World) sculpt and was very happy with the results. I don’t have a dremel so I used a hobby knife and sandpaper on the headsculpt. Mine didn’t come out as great as yours but again I’m so much happier having my Thor with this helmet. My figure is in storage in the attic but if I have a picure in my phone somewhere I’ll post it.

Ok, so here is my modified Thor sculpt. I took these in my basement while boxing figures up for storage.

As I said, mine didn?t come out as well as the mod by Username but I am pleased with my outcome. The helmet was placed a little too far forward on his head when I took these pics but you will get the overall idea ...

Initially I thought that a helmet would detract from the appearance of the rooted hair but it doesn’t, it looks really good!

Then again I am biased towards helmeted figures for some reason. That’s why I wanted to put a helmet on my Dark World Thor.

I admire what you are able to do with rooting the hair these headsculpts!! I’m afraid to even try to paint the plastic hair on Thor to make it lighter :)

Hi. Thanks. How were you able to adjust the wings? That is really what I'm wanting to know. Did you just snap them off with your fingers? What type of adhesive did you use to glue them back on in the new position?

I just snapped the wings off(Very carefully, as i was doing the mod for a member here).
To get them back on, i initially used blu tack and took loads of pics to make sure the customer was happy with the position, then glued them on with superglue. It was gel type superglue that sets slowly, but i activated it with Zip Kicker. I did one at a time to make sure they lined up and were accurately placed.

Repositioned the ball peg adapter in the head so the head sits a bit higher. Gives Thor a bit more height and slightly longer neck.
