Why would diecast be a bad idea?

A lot of people are concerned that HT won't be able to get the same level of detail in stamped metal as they can with plastic. There are also concerns of paint chipping / flaking off the piece... and the last I can think of are concerns of the joints becoming loose. Also the $60 price bump turns a lot of people off.

But again.. we haven't seen a final die cast product from hot toys so we don't know what to truly expect.

I suppose, that 3PO is a masterpiece. But that release was twice the price of other 1/6 Star Wars figures. Such an increase in price requires far better quality and it delivered. I doubt Hot Toys can improve their designs vastly with a $60,- price bump.
