Well, they hold it open till it actually ships and everyone has paid. They have sets in reserve for lost/broken figures and if they are all not needed, or figures are returned, or people don't pay for it, they keep the waitlist open. that said, it's no promise you convert.

I remember someone was asking if the 1/6 Hot Toys IP Bust cannon was the same as or would fit on Hot Rod. The answer is yes, but it requires some modification. Here are some side-by-side comparison pics between the MMS IP Cannon and Bust IP Cannon.

Left is from the bust. It does not rotate at the connection peg that goes into the back slot, and more importantly the connection peg is very different and does not stay in easily in the back slot on Hot Rod. You'll have to modify and thicken the peg to get it to stay. Visually it's very similar to the MMS cannon though.

Left is MMS cannon, right is bust cannon.
