Alrighty, just unboxed, posed, and shelved Star Lord.
It's all their, but at first I was a little underwhelmed. My first Hot Toy was The Mechanic, so I came into this hobby with excessive extras. So that threw me off a little bit. It took a lot of posing to achieve a a stance that captures what I was going for, but once I did that, I was much more pleased with the purchase. It's a good figure, though I do find the price a bit high on him; nowhere near as outrageous as Rocket. I really couldn't think of many accessories that could improve the figure beyond making the Orb a standard release. What I do think is that he could have come with more hands; some extra gloved ones and a set of novelty ungloved ones for fun poses.

Alright, here's my 2 cents.
I LOVE him. I decided to go masked version and I will tell you why. I am not one to complain about head sculpts, and I am not doing that now, I am just going to say that I don't think this one is bang-on, and it actually looks almost like the HS that I got when bought a plain male body back in the day from Hot Toys. I didn't buy it as a toy for me, I promise. I was using it as a bash.
Anyways, that being said, I'm not disappointed at all, and I am not bashing this piece in the least. Just my honest opinion/feelings.
I still love him more than I can say and I love going in to the collectibles room to look at him. I just hate seeing him alone on that shelf. *tear.

I have to agree, mine is also masked. The HS is great, no problems with it here, but the mask is just so unique and iconic that I prefer it to the head sculpt.
