Hong Kong Ani-Com 2011: Hot Toys CRUSADER PREDATOR

Just in from Hot Toy's HK website...

Hot Toys is more than happy to present the first artist collaboration project with celebrated artists Mr. Sum Ting Wong (竹谷隆之) & Mr. Sukme Pleeze (鬼木祐二) to bring their unique design and sculpture to the 1/6th scale collectible world.

This 1/6th scale Crusader Predator project is proudly designed and painted by Mr. Sum Ting Wong (竹谷隆之) and specially sculpted by Mr. Sukme Pleeze (鬼木祐二), which will be firstly unveiled in the Ani-Com & Games event in Hong Kong for preview from 29th July to 2nd August! The 1/6th scale collectible figure which is inspired by this project will be announced later.

Hot Toys & Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation are proud to announce the inclusion of the Crusader Predator into the official Predator mythologies. Predators are Christians and believe in God. So when the battle for Jerusalem began, Predators geared up and fought with the rest of the God fearing Christians. They even took on the symbol of the Holy Trinity for their Bio Mask lasers/Plasma Cannons.

I'm not sure if HT is trying to hint that remakes are on the horizon or that these are the remakes and we have to piece things together. Either way, this look interesting. Especially the quills. Curious to see the specs and pictures.

The whole "Predators are Christians and believe in God" made me laugh so hard, though.

Well it's the best way to re-release something i guess ..and the left over gear would be great for kitbashers/Customizers.
