Super Freak
Yeah, I couldn't care less about the Night's Watch vs. the Wildlings. Tonight's episode was well done, I just don't care about the storyline. I'm ready to be back at King's Landing.
When the midget got the bisexual prince to fight the mountain guy who's always played by some new big and/or tall guy and then the bisexual prince talked too much and then the mountain guy who's always played by some new big and/or tall guy caved in his eyes and then crushed his skull.. did the midget died?
That scythe was brutal.
Everything is at stake if the Seven Kingdoms lose The Wall.
A lot got tied up in this episode. Only real threads left up there are Bran's journey and whether or not Jon Snow can hold the line. The wildlings could overrun the North and make their defense against the walkers impossible, or they can be enlisted to defend it (100,000 guarding The Wall vs. 100 dead crows guarding it). It all hinges on what happens between Jon and Mance.
Yup. I expected to be bored, and that didn't happen. What's happening up there is a slower grind than the melodrama of King's Landing. It's also more important, and I'm glad to have it moved closer to it's critical point with good action. That battle was rough.
Why do the Wildings want to break the Wall?? Are they in league with the White Walkers, or do they just like ****ing **** up??
I get that Jon is super depressed over Ygritte, and he knows walking to the Wilding camp is a bad idea, and he has nothing to live for, but how is that really going to play out?? We see how Westerosworks, and good guys just get killed. They're not going to do some sappy thing where Jon Snow is a "smart" good guy, and is honorable and doesn't go for love over duty like Robb and he's not arrogant like Oberyn, so is he really going to be able to either kill Mance or convince him to stop the attack??

Spoiler:Little does Jon Snow realize, but Stannis Baratheon is massing his newly acquired troops around the Wildling encampment. Stannis secures a victory over the Wildlings and Jon Snow lives to see another day.

As was the "anchor" on the wall.
