Anybody know if there is an SHMonsterArts Showa Ghidorah imminent. I saw these on ebay and I know they are knock offs, but knock offs of what?

Could it be a '91 with custom heads? There are a bunch of '91 special color version on eBay and AliExpress.

Not a custom, it’s a new bootleg. I can’t speak for every single part, but the heads, tails, and wings are all new. It’s funny that it’s a 1964 Ghidorah, but the bootleggers copied the new KOTM Ghidorah MonsterArts paintjob.

Man, I wish some company here in the states could acquire the rights and reproduce this statue at like 16"+ high for a few hundred bucks. That Japan stuff is way too small and rarely worth the price. I would love to have this at a decent size...

Judging by these pictures, nothing was used from the 1991 version and obviously nothing from the 2019 could be used. So this is a whole new figure. I'd like to get it, but not if SHMA is doing an official release soon.

Does anyone have or seen pictures of the king of the monster 2019 knock off king ghidorah?

This is one of the best figures that X-Plus has produced. It is only around 12" tall, but it is a great piece, and it is definitely worth the price.

It may be worth the original price but at 12" I think it's way overpriced now. Wouldn't you like to have a big version of this?

An X-Plus Gigantic Trainbiter Godzilla would be cool.
The after market prices on most X-Plus are usually gonna be a good bit
higher than they were when originally released. Unfortunately, that's the
nature of most X-Plus figures.

So I watched a 45 minute review of that knock off SHMA 64 Ghidorah. No one seems to know if it is a true knock off of something that SHMA produced and never released or if this is just some third party piece. Aside from the paint job, which mimics the 2019 Ghidorah, the reviewer was singing the praises of the quality of this piece. Unlike the SHMA Ghidorahs, all the joints were nice and tight and pieces didn't fall off if you simply looked at them. He actually showed the knock off 91 and said in that respect, it was superior to the original. The 64 is super poseable. Detail is incredible. I couldn't resist. Had to order one. If there is an official release somewhere down the line, fine, but I'm not missing this opportunity now.

I'm getting one too. They or atomic vinyl reviews figured out it was a model kit someone copied. Can't pass that price and sculpt down even thinking of painting it. Want to get one of the 2019 knock off but those have been shown to be this one too, from people ordering.

Started to pick up a few more pieces for my Toku collection ( focusing on Godzilla, Ultraman and Kamen Rider ) and picked up a few X-plus 12 inch pieces as really theres nothing outside of X-plus for Godzilla ( I have Prime 1 Gamera & Ultraman (technically based on the anime but still lol )) so during my searches i cam across Albatross Japan who do actual Polystone statues of Godzilla in around a 10 inch scale and the most recent release was a Shin Godzilla which claimed to be "12 inches tall with a 32inch tail" so i found one for about ?200 including shipping to the UK and took the punt.

Now outside of a few pics i couldn't find hardly any information on these pieces, all i knew was there was a standalone version, a version with all 3 Shin Gojira forms and a open mouthed version, i had no idea whats the production piece was like, i didn't even know it had a stand until i opened it...

And the result is....it's pretty ok. The version i got has a stand, has switch out heads and amazingly it has a light up lol. Now the paints are fine, they aren't amazing but because of the light up feature the whole body is cast in clear resin so it gives this sort of purple/translucent glow to the whole thing...but the biggest problem and what really takes the statue down several notches is the seam for the switch out heads, not only is it really noticeable on both heads but the head is a lightly different colour, it reminds me of the Sideshow Hulk PF and how bad that was....and then add to the fact when lit up the light up stops at the head lol, it all looks a bit odd. I would have loved it to have a switch on the side of the base and a mode to just have it in the purple colour permanently...

Like i said i had no idea this had a light up feature and it feels very last minute because the switch to turn it on is underneath the base, so everytime you want to turnb it on you have slide half the statue off the shelf so you can get a hand to it....and then the light up itself starts off a bright red then flashes, reds and white before settling on a rather brilliant blue/purple before flashing again and going back to red...but as you'll see on the pictures when it's blue and subtle it look rather good but when its red and you have that harsh cut off at the neck it looks very odd.

The statue actually measures about 10 inches to the top of Godzillas head and about 19inch to the top of the tail so for the money it's a actually a fair sized piece.

Overall i'm quite happy with it, i know there are better Shins out there and i'll probably pick up others but i do like the oddity of this one, and over the last few days its grown on me immensely...if that head seam was better i'd be raving about this one because i do think it has some nice paint touches and a unique (if inaccurate) sculpt.

I'm gonna throw some pics in my next post but does anyone else have any Albatross Japan pieces?

Has anybody heard anything about the X-Plus gigantic Mechagodzilla or the Mechaghidorah for that matter? I think it's been at least a year since both of those were first shown.
