Yes the 89 car would not be street leagal in its present state. Incase it turned over there is no means of escape and no mirrors. You need only the drivers side mirror for the mot ?

It is street legal. Some ppl who owns the car have stated that it's just too much hassle to take it ouside the road due to blind spots.

There was a guy in Carmel California who used to drive it out in the open for many years before he sold it. He put the side mirrors inplace of gun doors. I think it also has camera inside the dashboard.
Check out the raised side mirrors in this pic.

That is just ..... Sick :clap

Both of these cars have been out on the road (although only in the USA).

I fancy building one a little smaller based on the Dutton Pheaton kit car, since im based in Scotland. Hoping to get it road legal too.

The pics I posted of the 1:1 Tumbler, the builder told me he built 6 of 1989 version Batmobile. I don't know if they were used in the movie, but the Tumbler he built was used for the movie stunts.

These are the people who built TWO batmobiles for the 1989 Movie.
Jay Ohberg remolded some for the second movie.

Man, the replica with the matte finish looks awesome.

'89 is still easily my favorite Batmobile design.

This one is in the Cars of the Stars museum in Keswick, England. It's owned by Dr Peter Nelson.

It's a replica 92 Bat (like most of the museum/exhibition cars).

I saw one 89 years ago I think it was on an opel car, I missed the chance to buy it now I see several people sell these 89 cars.
I would like one. I would like a screen acurate suit 1st.

I havent found a screen acurate 89 car yet, I dont want a kit car I want a real car and a real acurate suit.

Wow.... i'm surprised you even remember seeing one at all that long ago. Especially since it was before Batman himself had been created....

I dunno what your on about but the opel replica I saw was about 5 years ago, it was well done but small.
