I wonder if SS should put a disclaimer from here on out?

They may not be the money power house they once were, because of the fading economy? Still, they would lose more $$ not replacing these statues?

thats just bad business on their part.........this is how u lose customers cornerstore, not gain them

I really like this statue as well.... except for the maskless sculpt. Supposedly I will have mine by tomorrow.

You know Rory I kinda do .......and kinda don't like the maskless head but whats holding me back is what people would think when they come over to my place. And I rarely care what people think but this time I can already hear them say....

"oooh you're a h omo......"

I just got mine, #43. already sold. buyer asked me to leave it sealed. I kind of want to open it just to look at it, but oh well.

Great shot everyone.

Looks like Suzie the blow-up doll

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

I almost bought this at my local comic book shop as well, but had to pass it up. I guess great minds think alike. The cashier actually got pissed when, after inspecting the shop copy, he swapped the heads and my buddy and I just busted into laughter. It looks like the Oral Annie blow-up doll we bought a friend for his engagement party two weeks ago! So, unfortunately, even though he looks cool with the mask on, it just bugged the hell out of me because I knew Annie was hiding under Vega's mask. So poor Ryu and Akuma will have to remain alone for the time being. I just can't bring this into my house:

Seriously though. WHAT THE HELL MAN?! At that pricepoint?! If I wanted something that looked like that, why the hell would I spend that kinda money on a Street Fighter PF when all I'd need to do is mod one of my playbody figures into a 1:4 scale Jenna Jameson. If it was my company, I'd walk over to the QC guy and give him two choices. Get backhanded or pinkslipped. Then I'd fire the sculpter...

Hello Collectors !

Okay some answers

- The claws were SUPPOSED to be wrapped in foam to protect them. Same with the changeble head. Of course , as is par for the course, China skipped that step to save a few pennies when i wasnt looking. Incredibly frustrating and OF COURSE they claim they DID wrap everything in foam and YOU GUYS are lying to get free product.

THis is the way it goes in China unfortunately...

- The styrofoam is cut by machine but not the same process Sideshow uses. Its a cheaper process. I simply cant afford the SS process for these low run statues. Remember SS usually makes twice as many pieces as I do...much easier to eat that cost when you are doing that.

I am having replacement claws and heads made. im going to want to see pics of the original pieces smashed (typical SS policy) before I send them out...but heres the rub. Its going to take a while...I dont know how long yet. I will know sometime next week.

I know this is a hassle but its a great piece and I will correct the errors for you. Those of you that collected my products when I owned SOTA know that I put the collector first.

PS...the factory is CHARGING me for the replacement parts...hows that for crappy ?

Damn Jerry, it's obvious that the factory is trying to bully around the little guy here. Just because you don't produce the quantity that other companies do, they think that they can cheap out on you.

I don't know much about producing this types of things, but are Chinese factories your only choice? What about other countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, or Philippines where people usually outsource for cheaper labor?

Its not a 'chinese bad' thing as much as it is that ANY cheap labor is going to have a general lack of respect for products like this. Their entire monthly pay is barely more than the cost of one of these statues.

Therefore we would run into these problems in all of those places. Nevermind the cost of training them.

There is a solution to this problem. I have to go to China more often and I need a new person in charge of QC. Im dealing with that right now...
