I do have friends in LA and would be a good excuse to visit them...but money is too tight even for that short trip right now...

Ok, I was FNALLY able to get my hands on a copy and this movie was awesome!!!!
Pretty ^^^^ing hilarious and just an all around cool movie to be watched. KB in the slave Leia costume alone is worth it, all 5 seconds of it. lol
This movie was cool as ^^^^, right up until the last sentence of the movie at least. While I think that GL is off his ^^^^ing nut and kinda ruined SW by replacing the good story with special effects (^^^^ing amazing ones), I don't think the last line was called for, especially after all GL did for the guys making the movie. I thought it was a cheap shot and kinda killed it for me in the end.
But they used the good storyline for this movie. I am really glad they were able to and the movie is just plain enjoyable. The cameos are hilarious.
So, do yourself a favor when this comes to BR or DVD and get yourself a copy!!!!

I'm tired of hearing about it. In fact, I was tired of it more than a year before it was finally released. It must go away soon.
No one likes to drag things into the ground like SW fandom.

That movie was worse than "meh" - it was downright unfunny. I really don't understand the fan gushing about this movie.
I know it's SUPPOSED to be about Star Wars, but the references got way out of hand, and most of the humour was incredibly cliched and boring. It was one of those movies that I felt embarrassed by, know what I mean? Great idea, good casting even... but something was lacking in the execution. I don't know, maybe it was rushed?

THAT, I will agree with, however!
Because many hardcore SW fans are incredibly narcissistic (see: the 501st) and this movie is "about" SW nerds! Of course they'll want to grab onto it and build it up as something 100x more than it is.

Yeah, but it wasn't really a GOOD buddy movie.
It was supposed to be a comedy, but the jokes were stale and cliche, so it fails as far as I'm concerned.

I really liked it... yeah, some of it was pretty over the top. But the message resonated with me. It really wasn't about SW, it was about friendship and recapturing the spirit of youth.
