Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

^Cost around USD100... and well worth the price.

They are a new producer based in Taiwan. As a first product this is a great achievement every possible human articulation (except for one) though not that wide range. There are still things to improve and more robust joints.

Hulk could have an entirely thicker frame even metal frame (while maintaining a thick or thicker silicone flesh ratio).

Good quality/high grade silicone (true silicone, japanese gred)

The thicker the "rubber" body, the worse the articulation and bunch-up at the joints....and the thicker/bigger the frame means reduced articulation as well

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

Regardless, it's a moot point. HT is DONE with rubber bodies. Otherwise, we would have seen one on Jake from avatar.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

I just don't see rubber bodies being able to compete with plastic/PVC, they just woudn't be sculpted or as articulated as well IMO

In the current state they are... I completely agree. I understand that is the argument here but things change and improve every day. In 5/10 years from now who's to say how much rubber bodies (or perhaps some other type of material) could improve. I feel there is potential for them to bring a new level of realism to this hobby (applied on something like that seamless body).

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

It was the first video I found. It does a good job at demonstrating how the body works. It could be worse though... it could be a male frame, with some dude poking it's junk.:lol

Yea and lifting an erection rather than fingers and toes!:FREAK:

Look, rubber bodies are good for somethings...Like DOLLS! NOT ACTION FIGURES DOING ACTION POSES!! Let Hulk be the action figure he's intended to be period!

I agree that in the future, rubber bodies could be the way to go. I argument is just that they shouldnt be used now

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

HT and EB are notoriously poor in material science in using PVC and rubber that are incompatible, stains, degrade, cracks, leaks, fragile.

Wolverine/Comedian/TTM19 torso are easily stained... & liquify rubbers..

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

HT's track record with seamless bodies is not good. Best to just not go there. Even if the technology is there to make realistically flexible bodies possible without joints, there is a risk of tearing. I like HT's compromise with the recent muscle bodies, and hope they stick with it. If they want to experiment with something, I hope they do it with Sucker Punch or some other line I don't collect first. Only use that for major licenses when you are highly confident in the long-term ramifications.

Like a cows opinion :lol

:goodpost: they haven't done a rubber body in quite a while too, and i wouldn't gamble a new untested rubber body on such a large iconic character, but this is HT afterall they like shipping out iconic characters with defects :dunno

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

RE: the Hot Stuff video,

is it necessary to have the line for the vajayjay?

Do i need to have a 1/6 scale camel toe?

NSFW--Hot Stuff 1/6 Seamless Body

Came across this in another thread for the first time today. I thought it was pretty impressive (unfortunately, others did not feel the same way about it though).

Hot Stuff is a new producer based in Taiwan making these cool female seamless rubber bodies with internal articulation (much like a Terminator)

I would love to see this applied to more figures, including male ones. I feel it would bring a new level of realism to this hobby. Definitely looks far superior to the Hot Toys female body. Anybody out there owns one of these.

I could see this working for clothed figures, not so much for muscle-tone bare-skin-visible figures just yet.

Innovation is always a pleasant sight, speaking of sight the designers need to see some real naked women and not porn women for a better view of natural breasts :lol

Re: Hot Toys – MMS??? - Avengers: Hawkeye

Hence a as small, unknown, with limited resource company, achieving this quality NOW (not 5 years later) instead of the big guns HT/EB.. put the said companies to shame.

Mostly because they asked for consumer feed-back for their initial design, made improvements and the use of high quality materials (silicone flesh). Production is very slow though... first run output was 1 year ago and they are still full-filling POs.

Interesting point brought up by bandito. Silicone is largely used by fx companies these days. They can achieve very realistic looks with it. Again, something that would be nice to see applied to 1/6 figures.

Here are some silicone masks for demonstration:

Re: NSFW--Hot Stuff 1/6 Seamless Body

Good points:
Bendy (thick wire) neck/shoulder/abdomen... full humanly possible. Well designed unidirectional joints flimsy looking, seems robust (elbow/knee/ankle/wrist)

Bad points:
1.Wrist only up/down ..... side by side not available.
2.Rotating hips/shoulder are weak/fragile/limited range/ ... it fight with the silicone that returns it to a more neutral pose.

Push in the shoulder/hip joint that will enable rotating the shoulders/hips easier and upon release it will lock into place... This avoid the ratcheting.
