You've actually gone to far... Sell some stuff and regain you're ability to realise you can live without some of the figures being released... I did that and now I'm a much more focused and happy collector... Also Selling some figure is a good way to reduce Debt and stress from collecting...

everything this man says ^^^

But guys... I'm not in debt. I enjoy my collection, all of it. I seriously don't see any reason to start selling it off!
I was just commenting on my lack of space and general mess.
Guess I could sell one of the kids and use their room as toy museum!
LOL

I owe, but I'm not in debt as much as some other people I know. I could pay everything off in a day if I wanted so I'm not worried.

here's my office/collection room cleanup in progress.

My collection used to be all scattered. I probably only am displaying about 1/5 of my Hasbro 12"ers, just in the upper corner there you can see the Phantom Menace stuff. Unlike tequila, I plan on using my top shelf for the worst stuff...lol. I will probably go through my AOTC Hasbro stuff tonight or tomorrow.

converting these shelves into my customizing/diorama building workspace too, in the second pic. Also use these shelves to hold my vinyl and CD collection.

Lurtz is lonely as being my only PF. I will one day add Aragorn to the same shelf. Looking to pay $200 shipped if anyone has one. :naughty

Nice to see your collection... love the dio pieces you've got your figures displayed in. Please post some more shots of the Jabba set-up :rock

As for my messyness... its only been in the last few years that I've started keeping boxes. So, luckily I don't have a huge amount of space dedicated. But getting into larger items (like busts and PF's) has taken its toll :lol

My garage which houses most of the boxes:

And the closet in my collection room:

wow, that's a lot of stuff.

i have started cleaing out my closets and garage shelves. kind of taking the opinion that if it's boxed up, stored or where i can't see it then i don't need it. all my clutter was finally getting to me.

I think I must be OCD LOL!

Don't tell Grange Wallis, He wouldn't approve - Probably tell me to sell 'em all and seek inner peace... I've seen your collection Grange, way to tidy for this thread my friend!

That's nothing ! I'd take photos of my loft but the lights gone in there and I'm too scared to go in to fix it ! (Shudder....):horror

I feel that way about my third loft!

Number one was bad, (see previous), two's worse, (see below). But no. 3? I don't even want to think what's living in there!

Strange noises are heard late at night... some say it's the plumbing, others say it's my plumbing! But we know different, don't we children... Mwahhh Haaa Haaa!!!!!

Hella Loft.

I'm finding this thread strangely cathartic. Airing ones dirty loft space in public is somehow... freeing. :chew

LOL being dyslexic, and thick adds to my quality posts, making them more challenging to know WTF i am on about. LOL and to clear things up, I think I meant MINE field, one over zealous trouser trumpet in the wrong key and the whole 70 figures could be floored!!!

I love your post Dorgs!

I do love my figures and I try to look after them, but the amount of times I've knocked one off a shelf or over zealously tweaked a Medicom shoulder joint to the point of disintegration... You'd think I'd invest in some decent display cases and stick them in one of the spare rooms (It's a bugger of a big house, and I seriously have rooms I'm not sure I've been in!)

But then I wouldn't be able to play with them all day, so where's the fun in that?

There were just so many I had nowhere to put them, once I realised I was close to 800 figures and most of them where in boxes, never even looked at, I thought it time to quit.

I need help.

darthgothikus, i suggest u practice some spring-cleaning, both physical and emotional. by clearing out some of your stuff physically, u will in turn be cleansed emotionally. i suggest u start by donating at least half your collection to your fellow freaks on this board. charity is good for the soul.

i command you!

and you will obey. :google you will obey. :google you will obey... :google

:D

This.

It takes a lot of time and effort to figure out an optimal display solution, but it's more than worth it. I suggest going to an IKEA and spending several hours browsing their shelving selection (though this isn't a complete solution, I'm still working on figuring out an optimal shelving solution for my 1:18 stuff).

You'll be so much happier when your clutter becomes a collection.
