I meant that too much CGI and action sequences can ruin a movie for me.From the trailer, it looks like the Epic story and substance of the original is lost.The Original COTT holds a very special place in my childhood memories and is one of those movies I watch a thousand times as a kid.The 14'' Mattel Kraken was my favorite toy.

Anyway, I reserve final jusdgement until I see the movie, but from what I saw ,i'm not impressed as much as lots of you.

I just saw it and I agree, it just doesn't look like something that's going to leave a lasting impression in me. Lots of action and CG imagery doesn't make a good movie.

Normally I despise remakes, but this looks like it's the GOOD kind of remake. Besides, I'm a sucker for Greek myth-based movies.

I always expected your favorite toy to be 14", but I didn't expect it to be that kind of toy.

This is still a great trailer. *sigh* We were more innocent back then.

Now that I can more clearly see everything, I hate their version of Medusa, she looks fake and maybe it's just for the trailer, but they covered up her boobs :

In a way I'd rather have the old crappy stop motion puppet as there was more charm with that stuff then with CGI.

Here's the Kraken, I don't mind this design so much, but it does strongly remind me of the 1998 American version of Godzilla.
