I will say though, that I enjoyed the modern warfare campaigns much more than either W@W or BO. COD4 also is probably the best COD game to date, honestly I would even go as far to say the best FPS to date (obviously many others would disagree with me there).

I wouldn't disagree, COD4 is the best COD game to date, it's def in the top 5 shooters ever.

COD4 was amazingly balanced yet fun to play at the same time. Unlike MW2, which was really fun but man some people would just have the right combinations of weapons/killstreaks and own the place, which wasn't really that enjoyable.

Sounds pretty silly too me, I mean why would they not want to finish the MW1&2 Story if this turns out to be true

A. ____ Ghost, hes a dead non important secondary character, I want to know whats happening to Price, Soap, and Nikolai

B. A prequel is just a way to milk more money from us so they can do a sequel to MW2 later

C. The same engine would likely be the only way to get it out this year and MW2's engine is not spectacular.

D. Now that we don't have Infinity Ward (unless they patched up relationships) to work on the game we'll just throw a mulligan to the new guys by allowing them to recycle existing characters and locations. Therefore giving us plenty of time to come up with something for a true sequel.

I honestly don't care if they need to push back the timetable if they could give us a proper sequel. Ghost was cool in MW2, but he wasn't a large enough character to give us an entire game.

Yay another cod game. I wonder if most of the 'less than casual gamers' who buy these games even know who the developers are. I doubt it.
