I am very curious to see how they will handle it. Price it too high and people won't get it. I wonder if they will end up scaling it down and have it be less than 1/6 just to not only make it more affordable but to keep it in scale with people's collections. However if you do that then it wont be in scale to Hulk. Very curious as to the outcome.

That would put it out of scale with peoples collections :duh

Just based on HT making the Rhino from ASM2. And now it looks like they don't intend to release it, the fact that they invested money in that just for a publicity stunt, it tells me HT really loves mechanical figures, they love the challenge of figuring out how to make it. Hulkbuster is just the type of character they CRAVE, this is they're bread and butter. I bet when they saw this they said 'Challenge accepted.'

I know they're not selling Rhino so maybe they thought its not a popular character or it didn't have a lot of screen time so it wasn't worth the price. However Age of Ultron is going to be a huge film, Hulkbuster will have a major role in this and its an Ironman Armor. People are gonna want this, it will be in high demand and people will be expecting HT to deliver big. Theres no reason to cut corners, its gonna sellout. This should be the culmination of everything they have learned, all the engineering techniques, all the success(and failures) all perfected. Their pièce de résistance. It would be nice if the film showed an unpainted prototype of Hulkbuster so they had an excuse to rerelease along with Battle Damage, 3 different versions to cover the initial investment.

That Rhino figure is by far the coolest looking HT figure I've ever seen in person, after seeing it at SDCC. It's too bad people hate the character so much and it wouldn't sell well. It puts Monger to shame.

Agreed.. I think power pose would definitely be the way to go.. Possibly with swappable weapon pods or some battle damaged pieces because I am certain that it will not come out if a Hulk battle undamaged!

I wish HT had not made Hulk so big. The figure was way too big IMO and kills the chances if us getting a true 1/6 scale HB.

:clap Truer words were never spoken! Hulk should have been about 15 inches tall, at most, 16 inches. Then an 18- or 19-inch HB would be in proper scale.

I would buy it. It's not canceled yet :)

So if the most expensive figure is $510 and the most expensive item period is $700 I am seeing $600 for Hulk buster PPS. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever even consider spending that on a freaking toy.. This hobby is sickening lol All of you are to blame for this disease.

Some dudes can't wait to drop a grand on the DeLorean!

As strange as it sounds, I think I'd rather pay $700 or more for a fully-articulated figure, which I probably wouldn't even pose all that much, than $600 for a figure with limited, or reduced, articulation.

If hulkbuster IF done right (iam really hoping that they make a version that a suit can fit inside the Hulkbuster or atleast looks like it) iam willing to spend upto $1k that would be my grail if ever! Only if they make him so bad ass that i cant wait to throw my money their way!

It would probably be a hit in Asia, but do you think it'd sell well in the US/Europe?

If you look at Hot Toys history, most of their sales are Asia. They cater for the Asian market foremost which we have seen with the singer hot toys.
So I'm not sure if they would sell outside of Asia but who knows.

Could it be possible that Fox and Sony own rights to the X-Men Wolverine and Amazing Spiderman characters respectively but Marvel never sold the rights to the Avengers version if these characters?

How is the Wolverine situation any different that then Quicksilver situation? Fox owns all mutant characters and Marvel owns all Avengers characters. Wolverine is both just like Quicksilver.
